Interested to see what our resident strength experts think of these:

Seems like a solid program for a cross over from bodybuilding to strength. Good strength base, with lots of customization available for hypertrophy work and addressing symmetry/weaknesses.
Would you guys think this would be a good program for someone who wants to put up some better numbers, but who has no interest in competing? Or do you guys think that it would serve better to put hypertrophy work on hold, and go into a full on specification program?
As far as background, I can bench and squat body weight (triples or so on both, squat sucks), and rep 5x5s at 1.5 bw on deads. I am guessing I can progress for a few meso cycles on the lp program, and then will probably jump straight to the periodized program as soon as I stall.
I am also taking on a young coworker as a trainee/partner. Poor kid is a beanpole. I think he would be best served starting in on a strength program and getting his numbers up. But, at 21, his biggest motivator is pussy, so naturally he's looking for the size first. Think this would be a good compromise for a beginner? I'm trying not to hit him with too much fatigue accumulation, because I don't want him flaking. Next choice for him would probably be the Texas method, but that almost seems like it needs more volume, at least for me.
