Cardio activity modes

Hi guys, I keep struggling with my hematocrit levels, which are always above 50.

I manage to keep them under control by drinking plenty of water and doing daily cardio, about 40–45 minutes.

Usually, I go for an incline walk at a speed of 6.0/5 km/h (about 10 min per km) and an incline of around 3, keeping my heart rate around 125 bpm.

However , over time, this activity has started to cause me some issues with my hamstrings, especially with a muscle under the glute (I still need to look into whether it’s one of the ischiocrural muscles or something else).
I see that some people here do cardio twice a day or for longer periods than I do.

Maybe I’m overdoing the intensity? Should I go slower, or is there another effective form of cardio besides the treadmill?

P.S. I tried the stair master, but it’s too demanding on the muscles, and I can’t keep it up for that long.

lower the intensity/amount or up the cals & electrolytes, your call.
I would lower intensity (bye bye incline), but thats because I am lazy asf

The problem is that if I lower the incline, my heart rate drops to 100–110 bpm.

I’d like to understand if it still makes sense to have cardio sessions that only bring my heart rate up to around 100 bpm,
(considering that the only purpose of my cardio is to keep my hematocrit in check).
