Cardio Question...new to cardio

I have seen conflicting answers on whether or not to take anything in the morning before fasted cardio

Should i take BCAA (5grm), Glutamine (5grm) and Kre-Alk (5grm) in my Green Tea before i work out

and do I still have my morning protein shake and oatmeal afterward? or is there a certain amount of time i should wait to eat?

I also lift weights, but later in the day, the cardio is usually around 10am and the weights are normally around 4-5pm

any advice would be great, thanks

I'm not a fan of "fasted cardio" although I understand it's purpose...I'd intake a low carb protein shake or eat a couple boiled eggs...have some protein to protect your muscle. Keep the water going too so you don't dehydrate.

Anyone else???
 
low carb whey. or no carb. maybe mixed with liquid egg whites. or combine it with a slower protien. or some solid food if itll sit ok in your stomach. depending on your cardio. bcaa, glutamine. i dont use. there seems to a good amount in whey. but could be beneficial. and i just use regular creatine monohydrate. if i do at all. cause i drink coffee. and i dont think they work together. if your a regular caffeine user. if you have a small meal an hour or more before your workout, that would probably be best. some protien inbetween the two would be good also.

thanks guys, i'm doing a somewhat paleo diet now...when things get really tough i'll have some whole grains, but toher than that, it's been fruits, lean meats and veggies. I'm only going to do it for 6 weeks, going to try to drop 10-12 lbs during this time....going to take it one day at a time since the diet does suck but hell, i gotta suck it the #%#@ up if i want the body i have in mind lol
