Cerebrolysin Experience. I’m skeered

Made from pig brains. So there’s that. Potential disruption of brain chemistry concerns me. However, this stuff looks promising for someone like myself that pummeled his brain with substances for, let’s say, 2 decades. Is this stuff safe? Any issues? Any major success stories with it? Thanks

PCT24x7 only carries one brand and that’s likely where I’d order from.

This is the year I attempt to repair my brain from years of damage. Any other recommendations welcome. Will eventually throw the kitchen sink at products to help but not all at once.

I ordered mine from RU Pharma. It will be weeks before it arrives. I am going to compare it to Cortexin which I bought at Cosmic Nootropic. The below study seems to indicate Cortexin is as effective as Cerebrolysin but at much lower doses. Which makes Cortexin much more cost effective.

Cortexin® (1 or 3 mg/kg/day) vs Cerebrolysin® (538 or 1614 mg/kg/day)

I bought two of these kits:

CEREBROLYSIN® 2-20 ml/vial, 5-10 vials/pack
(Dosage: 4300 mg (20ml) per ampul, 5 ampuls per pack)

What are you guys taking this for?
I believe the one sold by PCT is from Sun Pharma.
Honestly looks the same as RU Pharma.
Both from Austria, same pharmacy and packaging, i believe they are the same.
Might be cheaper just getting from PCT.
$35 vs $83

I want to try it out to see if the claims it can improve cognitive function and enhance learning capacity are true. Long term memory improvement is another claim.

Have a skim through this collection of data before you start jabbing yourself. A lot of biased clinical trials were performed by the manufacturer to pump this drug that omits a lot of information. looks kinda sketchy

The study i mentioned just shows how many biased studies they had to omit from their data collection. In many parts of the world transparency is nonexistant.

It just seems odd to me that this drug is considered an essential medicine for strokes when in unbiased trials the data shows it's basically useless.

"Cerebrolysin probably results in little to no difference in the total number of people with SAEs" (serious adverse effects)

"In the subgroup of dosing schedule 30 mL for 10 days (cumulative dose 300 mL), the increase was more prominent"

I'd keep the dose on the lighter side.

I had a friend ask me for a second opinion on this recently. It occured to me that an experimental drug for people that are in dire situations like Alzeimer's, stroke, dementia, or brain injury for it's "possible" nootropic/neuro-protective effects just doesn't seem rational. Like using AIDS medicine to prevent a common cold.

Limitless was a movie; Cerebrolysin isn't a recreational drug; NTZ-48 is fictional; and in reality, there's a higher probability you end up with some adverse effect than hyper intelligent and balls deep in some foreign model because she was impressed you could fluently converse with her in a language you just learned the day before.

If the latter does happen though, please report back so I can place my order promptly.
