Chest day

Ozzy, my good sir, I respectfully disagree!

I use the smith quite often. I use it to have a clean range of motion, with a higher weight than I normally bench. I also use it to break plateaus, and it can be killer for drop sets.

I do feel like noobs abuse it because it's easier. However, when used properly, it can be an essential part of your routine.

This info devestates me I thought we was bros :( jk I can see your point with drop sets training alone. I on occasion use them for shoulder press but its been awhile.

I probably use a smith every 3 or so chest workouts.

I guess I'm an outlier in that I actually get a better myotatic reflex for chest from doing barbell work rather than dumbbells, especially for incline. I don't concern myself with how something feels though, it's usually not a good indicator of how well something hits a muscle group imo.

Me too. Paused barbell work is the shit.
