This is perhaps the most under-rated risk of using
anabolics is the wicked dyslipidemia (bad LDL/HDL)
cholesterol that is induced. If you are going to be on
a prolonged cycle (>10 weeks), then I would definitely
would be on a statin (the best is Lipitor for reasons
that I will not elaborate here).There are risks with this
drug as approximately 1:1,000,000 can develop
a drug induced muscle wasting known as in
medical slang as "rhabdo" but this is extremely rare.
Sometimes AST/ALT levels can bump up but they
are typically not significant.
In my opinion, it is OK to combine a statin with
injectable anabolics. I would not mix oral anabolics
and a statin howver. If you are going to do orals,
do them in the beginning, wait 2 weeks, then start
a statin. Even better is to ovoids orals all together and
begin using a statin with injectable gear from day one.
