Hey guys just about to finish up my generals for college and I still don't know what I want to go for exactly...just looking for some insight/suggestions. I've thought about nursing because the health aspect interests me and they make good money around my area..but I've also thought about the world of finance due to the professionalism and pay grade... I want a good paying job that I can somewhat enjoy/have a connect to. What do you guys think? Give me some ideas/career ideas..I'm so wishy washy about this subject and it sucks lol.

Holy shit dude, weren't you just asking people to give you an idea for a tattoo... You want us to suggest your career path too now?

Don't go into nursing... I don't want you to be the one that needs to save my life someday, you'll start a thread on Meso asking for suggestions.

Make a move dude... Try something... Find something you like that makes good money and go for it.

Yep haha got a lot going on you could say and I respect you guys so I figured you'd have some good suggestions on the topics because you all have more experience and I don't know everything there is to know.

Nursing will get you a job in any country and a decent steady income and lots of respect. You can specialise and make more money and have lots of different career pathways. You have to be a superior human tho to handle nursing, emotionally tough job.

Finance you are just another nobody trying to get an advantage somehow, nobody cares and few make it....but you can make it big.

My wife's a nurse and makes good money. If we really needed it she could make 90k a year with her eyes closed. She's works 3 days a week and does about 60k. My son is in college to be a anesthetist which if you don't know is one step before a anesthesiologist. He'll make about 150k a year. Job security and benefits or unbelievable. There's so much overtime at my wife's hospital they pretty much ask almost every day that she works. Her next step after a few more years she wants to be a nurse practitioner.

As @x11 said you can go anywhere in the world and get a job. Not an easy job by any means

@HIGHRISK your wife might be getting some benefit from my will, I am leaving whatever I have when I die to my little brother, a dog rescue and yet to be determined way to benefit nurses. Prolly simplest is to create a study scholarship as far as I can figure. Not that I have much but more than nothing.

That's cool. I agree we need more nurses. One reason I'm glad my son is doing that. I told him son do you know how much ass your gonna get as a nurse anesthetist? He has no idea. Surrounded by women. He won't though he been with his girl since high school and she's going to be a nurse also.

I told my my wife after I put you through school for 5 years if you leave me for a Dr. I'll kill both of you!
