Colour of your Benzyl Benzoate

So I have bought Benzyl Benzoate from 5 different places Here in Europe and all of Ph.EUR quality, so same as USP BP standard.

All my BB is pale yellow tinted then I'm talking with some american friends and they all report to have USP BB and it's completely white crystal clear.

What the actual fuck? Do we have different BB in the old continent? Or it's america that has different BB? XD

So here I'm trying to see if I'm the only one that can't find crystal clear BB and only get yellow tinted one

I wonder why mines are all yellow tinted :/ it doesn't change a thing to be honest but i like crystal clear xD

I mean 5 different shops, 5 different brands, it can't be a coincidence

Same, mine is always crystal clear. Never seen this with BB but definitely have with oils. I have one vendor I absolutely do not order gso from as theirs is a dark yellow while my other vendor I use is a very light yellow. Same with mct. I’ve received yellowish mct as well and now use a vendor that sends crystal clear.

Dark yellow GSO with a green tint is normal as it's probably organic and not refined.

Nope.

But BB can have a yellow tint is even written on the COA but still it's funny that around here I only get that lol

Yep but I just don’t like for my brews to look dark. Once I discovered a lighter version I switched. The same may be true for your bb. Maybe it just isn’t as refined as what we are seeing/using.

Your CoA have a country of origin listed? Fisher stuff is clear, it's all from China or Spain.

That's really weird, I've only ever seen crystal clear BB here in the States. Maybe it's a European thing?

I bought from S3chemicals and Konrad Chemicals and they are clear. Didn't see yellowish BB yet

Ive had BB with a yellow tint and also clear. Both are fine. Same distinctive smell and both freeze solid during winter months!

Here in my country (which is in South America), most benzoate is light yellow and has a strong chemical smell, but there is a single specific supplier that has crystalline benzoate with a milder smell; both work and are pharmaceutical grade.
