computer guys ,spy bot ?

i have spy-bot search and destroy, and nortin anit virus i have to remove all pop up blockers from my computer for an online class and i cant figue out how to get ride of my pop up blockers . if anyone can help me it would be great.

my pop up blocker has a little icon by the clock...in the lower right hand corner. with mine, i right click on the icon and click on disable.

for nortin? i did this and it says disable auto protect , is that what you mean? i will do that and see if it works , but what about spy bot do have that to ?

the spybot shouldnt be blocking anything. what it does is look for "spy software" on your computer. i was referring to the pop-up blocker. maybe the norton is causing the problem too. try it and see.

ok it must be nortin that is the only one i have that stops pop ups. unless there is a stock one that comes on my PC that i dont know about.

no, computers dont come with automatic pop-up blockers.

Computer

Spybot, and Nortin Anti-Virus, are basically the same thing. Usually the Firewall does all the pop-up blocking. I have Zone alarm Pro. With that you can adjust the levels, or shut it off. (not recommended) By shuting off the fire wall, you'll be allowing Any thing that wants access to your computer in!

Are you running Nortonn Internet Security as part of Anti-Virus?
If you are you have to make changes there
