A recent blind sampling of Metformin across the U.S reveals that a stunning amount of Metformin is contaminated with Carcinogens.

Specifically, one of the Metformin tablets had 65 times the acceptable daily intake of Possible Cancer causing carcinogens.

The blind sampling report.

Please look at the bottom graph to see which Pharmaceutical brands FAILED the requirements.

I know a lot of guys here take Metformin.

Thanks for looking out for our safety Bro. My wife uses this drug so I will check on this.

I wouldn't panic and wait for what FDA has to say.

The study was by the FDA.

Panic, nope.

But long term use of potential cancer causing products is probably not s good thing.

FDA is already ordering recalls on this stuff.

I'm not saying "Holy fuck, throw it out ASAP"
But definitely buy and start on a different brand when you get a chance

No, the one you linked was not.

Sorry, I misspoke.

The FDA did an original one in February.
This one was a follow up.. an FDA Citizen petition.

To further expand on the FDAs February findings.

As such the FDA will be using the information gathered in this study.

As a result of these, several Pharmaceutical companies have already recalled their Metformin, including Apotex.

Sure Citizen petitions are typically used to undermine other pharma companies, but they can be very effective.

@janoshik

Also, we all typically get Metformin Via Underground sources (Hence why you're so popular for testing)

So the usual recall notifications that prescription drug users have at their disposal are a null and void point.

Seeing as we get our illegally, we wont recieve a call from our pharmacy

I understand, however I pointed that out, because I vaguely recall that FDA tends to disagree with this particular source of information - something a quick search confirmed for me.

Anyway, I can test this kind of stuff for 60 Euro per sample, no profit for me, in case anybody is really worried.

Understandable.
Considering citizen petitions are 99 times out of a hundred... just one pharma company trying to kick the legs out from under other pharma corps.

Good of you to offer testing!

Just an FYI for everyone.

I don't even know what those are - I don't think those exist in Europe.

Anyway, in case I can help somebody with this, I'll be happy to do so.

Certainly good to be aware of the possibility of contamination.
