Couple of basic questions

FNG here and after lurking and learning for a few months I have a couple of questions that I haven’t been able to get answers to yet.

1) What form is better for longer term storage (say 1-2 years)? Powder or finished product? Any substantial difference? After seeing lots of posts swearing to never use syringe filters again I’m going bottle top filters but it seems like a waste to push just 100ml through a 500ml filter.

2) I’ve noticed minimum order limits on suppliers and wonder if there’s a weight limit at which you should keep your order under? I would think a kg total package order would get more attention than a 200g order. Suggestions?

3) Pharma test that I’ve seen has always used CSO as the carrier yet it seems GSO is vastly preferred/discussed. Anyone know why? I would think pharma uses CSO for a good reason over anything else.

Thanks!

1) Not 100% sure but if optimally stored it's probably powder...BUT...optimal storage is the issue. Lots of posts with guys going back to old raw batches and getting issues with results due to moisture etc. I'd rather brew it all. I've seen oils last a decade past expiration and with it in solution, sealed via, and BA...pretty secure.
2) Use a smaller filter. 250ml is available. That said loss in my mind isn't massively different so just buy what works for you normally.
3) Safflower, Cottonseed, Grapeseed and MCT all work fine. With sealed via, BA, and proper storage out of sun in cool/dark place you can use what you want. Not sure why pharma uses CSO. I've used them all. My default is safflower as it was someone else's default who I knew.

I don't have all the answers but no one else responded so maybe this helps kick it off for you.

I'm also curious about what the maximum weight in each order. I have the money to buy a kg of test and I would preferably want to order bulk in case of emergency but am worried about the risk.

Heard of a few kilos getting a letter. Heard of 30 grams getting police to a house. Obviously if you bet smaller is better but nothing is foolproof. Sorry.
