i got covid, but the way i got it, how would you feel, do people care at all?

So i was working in my industry, someone knowingly can into work with covid but they thought it was fine. I ended up getting it from them. They also are moreso got soooo many others sick.

Why is this ok?

Now all the other members are going to catch it? This is going to mess up business for a bit

And now because of this i am not working, and i dont want to go in sick and give it to others. So i am taking time off.

I’m probably gonna get a lot of love and a lot of hate for this comment: how is it any different than if they came in with the flu or common cold or some other mild sickness?

I don’t want to catch any of that shit from anyone, but they’re all the same as far as I’m concerned.

I guess my question to you is this: would you feel the same way of you caught some other mild sickness from them?

I have intentionally put myself around other people that have had covid, and I only caught it once out of probably 5 or 6 times, and I didn’t catch it on the first try. My point is, I don’t believe it is nearly as virulent as it is made out to be.

Idc about me so much, its my family and the memebers. And i care because i live with family, so i dont want them to get hurt. I know ill be good.

If you work at a gym that is depedent on memebers, and you come in sick regardless what it is, and get everyone sick, when you can just take the day off. You are going to lose business. I care more for the members and there families.

To clarify, I didn’t mean to say it was ok that person did that. But only in the last 2-3 years has it been really “acceptable” to take off of work for being sick. Prior to that it was just “suck it up and come to work, we need you here”, and I think enough people still have that mindset.

If your family has preexisting health conditions, the common flu or bronchitis is just as deadly to them as Covid. Don't buy in to the propaganda. This whole charade is a money grab for the pharma companies and a power grab for the government.

Exactly, and i wouldnt want them to get that either, hence why when someone is sick in the house they are careful as possible.

I am fine, thus far it was a mild cold. I would go workout in a second if i knew i was not able to get another human ill

So ill do bodyweight work and cardio fasted

I strongly believe that personal hygiene also has a lot to do with how likely you are to pass on your sickness.

I have an issue with having dirty hands so I wash my hands a lot (it’s not quite OCD, but it’s rather frequent) and I don’t sneeze or cough out into the open or into my hands (always into my elbow), which I think makes a decent difference in virulence of any airborne illness.

Those who own the business, as a rule, do not care about the employees and their health. Employees are the resource they use, a person broke down - they threw them into a landfill, they hired a new one. And human life in our world is nothing at all.

As someone else said it's likely just his mindset. I personally don't call in sick unless I physically can't drag myself in which doesn't really happen.if I call out someone has to cover my work load, slaps the ego. Not saying it's not selfish but it's how some people are built.

I wouldn’t be mad, if you weren’t going to catch it from them it would just be someone else you’d catch it from. You’re either going to deal with it and live or you’re going to die, but nobody is going to avoid that shit altogether unless they’re some unicorn

I am not holding any grudge against her. It is a crappy situation to be in for everyone.

I hear you, i have avoided it this whole time. Without even wearing mask or anything. But i guess its impossible to avoid when people are coughing and sneezing in the faces others.

Because its not like she was just walking in the store. Or even running on a treadmill. The nature of the job. Its group fitness classes. She is in the front screaming for people to do exercises and going up to them and fixing there form yelling over the loud music. So out of every possible job, when you have covid one where you scream in peoples faces about form and fixing there form is just the worst. And she was litterally telling this womens form and then starting having a coughing fit.

Now if she went to work as a carpenter, or even lowes, or a doctors office, its just different. Because your mouth is shut in a way.

And the job said the coaches cant wear masks. Or else i would of wore one. But that would of scared the members.

Yes i see this now. It was a great lesson to be learned. Showing how people dont give a fuck about you.

And i totally agree, everyone is going to get it eventually, and i can careless i got it. I feel fine. Hardly sick at all. But the blatant disregard for other peoples wellbeing. Is what is more so annoying.

I am better from covid. I was able to jog today without weezing. So it took 3-4 days to get better. And it was maybe a minor cold and sore throat. But i ran 2 days ago and my lungs felt like a 80 yr old smokers. I will say i must of walked 8 miles a day and i think that def helped and took vitamins. Vit c and such.

When would it be ok to go back to doing things and not qurentine?

I am not getting a straight answer

Great news, good health to you and a speedy return to normal life.
