hi guys, this is going to be a bit of a long post, as i'm going to include my latest entry of my training log which is currently being kept over at avant

what do you guys think of this. i know calories might be a bit low, but i'm experimenting to see how my body responds.
if you have any suggestions, these are the food choices i work with due to convenience but also money
i also may be consuming more than a cup of green beans, so i may be getting extra calories that way
i would rather be consuming meat+veggies for my snacks. well, to be more accurate, i would rather be consuming tuna+veggies, but i am not so sure if it is okay for me to consume 3 cans of tuna a day.
i cut out my carbs because again, i'm experimenting how my body responds. i also get the impression (per JohnSmith/mesomorphosis.com) that lifters should be consuming primarily meat+veggies, basically high protein, moderate fat, and minimal carbs.
again, i'm always in a catch 22 and a sort of a battle in my program as a whole, because i'll want one thing, but then do something that would help a different goal. for example i want to become stronger, so i should be eating a lot more, but yet i want minimal fat gain, and i actually want to become leaner, so in reality i eat less. i guess if no one advises me to stop or stops me, i'll find out on my own what happens.
and to get a little more insight on where i'm currently at in my journey, here's my latest entry (today's) into my training log:

8.5-9 hours of sleep
fucking sore as HELL.
i've always been the type of person who will be really into something for a little while, and then get excited about something else and just be focused on the new thing for a while, and then probably on to something else. i can support this from looking back and seeing how i have a damn good paintball gun from when i used to play and be all about it, my car, in which i've stopped modding (more due to money, but i've lost interest as well since i don't participate in any clubs/communities or meets anymore), and now only thinking about "bodybuilding". my new thing? powerlifting. lol. now, i'm still a weak ass bitch, but now i'm all about being serious about just lifting. i'm gonna stop caring so goddamn much about timing, supplements, everything. will i lose efficiency? maybe, but then to whom? to the bodybuilder seeking only to look really good?
i want to really treat my lifting as a sport, i want to consider myself an athlete of the iron. with dedication, i know i can get there. i'm starting to finally think LONG TERM, i think holy shit, as long as i keep doing what i'm doing and keep improving, where the fuck will i be in FIVE years? by then i might be a STRONG motherfucker and look like it too.
no way in hell do i want to look like the stereotypical powerlifter, though. bodybuilders call them fat, and some say they're not, they're just fucking strong and have a lot of mass, and in reality, they probably don't have as high of a bodyfat level than you would think. okay? do i personally care? no, if i looked like that, i would think i look fat, lol. a vain powerlifter...how about that?
i'm minimizing carbs, and just making sure to eat a lot of meat and lots of veggies. keeping my protein intake high, fats moderate. i'll play around with my diet today and see what i can come up with so i get a better idea of the numbers.
now i know that if i want to become totally serious about this, my main goal would be to eat a shitload of good food and gain mass, but i haven't completely decided on that portion of it yet. my body doesn't seem to understand that i'm cutting unless the deficit is pretty good, but it seems to know right away if i'm getting maintenance or a little more. fucking meso/endo i am, perhaps. not sure yet.
i'm still learning a lot so we'll see how it all unravels.
anyway, here's my workout from yesterday:
3:08pm
db bench
4x65
2x65; 3x60
BENCH
5x155
squat
6x225
5x245
5x245
standing bb shoulder press
7x65
7x75
4x70; 4x80
bb row
8x95
6x115
5x105
2x20 crunch; super crunch
--
so i tried squat again, because that weirdness by my left shoulder blade was gone. i read about squat form from louie simmons and the like. i SQUEEZED the bar, SQUEEZED my shoulder blades together, and the bar was like TUCKED in between my delts and traps..i'm pretty sure my form was good. squat felt damn fucking good.
HOWEVER, 2nd set, i PINCHED A FUCKING NERVE. ugh!!!
i don't know much about pinched nerves, i didnt' even know that's what it was until my gf told me that it's probably that because i told her my hand felt like it was asleep. it still feels that way as i type right now. i'm praying to God that it's better by tomorrow so i can lift. after that i couldn't lift up anything with my left hand..i couldn't get the db's up to set up for bench, couldn't do a db shoulder press, and i couldn't do fucking preacher db curls. UGH
i don't know but maybe i pinched a nerve in my thumb? that's where the primary numbness/sensation is coming from.
went to this other 24hour location, it's pretty decent, and very close to work, only 5 minutes to get there.
i'm sure doing bb bench mostly attributed to my chest feeling sore as all hell today. i've come to the realization that i need to bench with bb more, maybe do bb on mon and fri and db on wed. and then next week do db on mon and fri and bb on wed. just keep switching. i'm pissed that i can't hit my high school maxes yet.
maybe a 5x5 program should be in order to get my fucking strength up.
and the whole fucking catch 22 of it all. in order for me to gain all this strength and to keep progressing, i need to EAT. at the moment, i'm in deficit and am used to it. it also costs more $$$ to eat more, and more $$$ is something i don't have much more of. ;p
fahhhhk...can't ever seem to get everything work out in terms of this sport. alas, i'm still new and still learning.
