Customs Notice

Got a package delivered empty from overseas. There was a US Customs and Border Protection Dept of Homeland Security Notice inside saying that Items had been seized for appropriate action and disposition under customs law. Has anyone else received a notice like this? I have gotten seizure letters in the past at other addresses but not inside the package. Is this normal??

I haven't had it happen to me but I have been thinking about it lately...curious, do you know how it got caught? Was the package marked in any way to tip them off? I have been considering going through a site from europe and was worried about customs...

yes they sometimes just keep the package and send a seizure notice, other times they remove contents and replace with seizure letter and send on.

I do not know what tipped them off. The packaging, from what they sent me seemed very good. Also, there was nothing on the outside that would have indicated contents to tip them off, it looked as if from a legit company. Krom- Do you know if this is all they do? I mean, should I expect another letter from Customs or is this it? Thanks for all of your help...

They Will X-ray Some Packages. I Have Had It Happen To Me Twice. Do Not Respond To The Letter At All. If You Keep Using Your Real Address They Will Flag It And Do A Controlled Delivery. Try To Stay Domestic As Much As Possible. Most Of The Time They Will Say They Have A 99% Sucess Rate Into The U.s. And They Don't.

browhen you recieved the package was any tape torn?were the edges faded?did the box have any sign of a leak or spill?glass?did it look like it got crushed?put 2 and 2 together i and look for the hologram of the new stamp and sig of the inspectors is it in ink or copy? and they handwrite the contents of what they seize like 2 10ml bottles of steroids and 300 unmarked pink pilss yada yada, i think your source ripped you

You should have gotten a certified seizure notice from the Dept. of Homeland Security / Customs. You would have had to sign for this from your mailman or at the post office in order to receive it. You still may or may not have gotten the empty package with the seizure notice in it. Don't send the seizure notice back in.

The writing is on the wall folks.Its not worth it to save that extra 100 bucks or so ordering internationally.Spend a little more and get domestic.You should be able to get ANYTHING you need if you are just willing to look around.Its not worth it to get arrested and deal with all the BS just for the sake of trying to save some $

The weird thing about this is it was a front for 500 tablets. So no, there would have been no leakage or anything like that. Also, the source told me I should receive in 12-14 days...I got the package on day 16 empty; well the paper was inside but no items. Every other time I have gotten a seizure notice it came separately in a Customs envelope and did sayu the contents that had been seized. This was like a half sheet of paper that was copied and very generic (only saying narcotics have been seized, etc.) no items in particular. The only thing written in ink was the reference number at the bottom. The package had been tapped up with clear packing tape too, not Customs tape.
