Customs setting me up?

I have a package coming from over seas. It arrived in JFK. customs on the June 14th at 5:02 pm and then it said it cleared customs at 5:22 pm. On the 14th of June. However today is June 23, 2004 and the mail came and no package. I live in the Midwest I am a little uneasy. It has never taken this long in the past and my mind is running wild, thinking that customs may have put up on the tracking page that it has cleared to catch me off guard when the kick my door down. I have cleaned house in preparation for the worst. I may be over-reacting a bit however with all the shit going on in the world today you never can tell. Besides I am an everyday Joe I don't need that kind of heat... I am a pillar in my comunity. LOL I just wondered what you guys had to think Thanks Again

i doubt they can even do anything... if anything watch out for a controlled delivery... they can't just bust down your door for having your name and addy on the package, cause for all you know, some other guy got it sent to your house...

busted

I had a package grabed by customs I just said it wasnt mine when the empty packages came.

Well at what point do you think you chalk it up to being a possible controlled delivery? My wife is at home during the day. I have already kind of briefed her about making sure it is our regular mailman ECT. Has anyone experienced a controlled delivery? Check tracking # again this morning and it has said the same thing for 10 days... I have skimmed these types of post in the past but when it is happening to you it tends to "sober" you up.
As Jules said in Pulp Fiction "I have had what alcoholics call a moment of clarity"
Thanks for your replies

Dude, dont sweat it. Just dont except the package.

i dunno bro seems kinda long and all, 10 days since customs cleared it, i mean i would think if customs wanted to catch you in a controlled delivery would they really wait this long?

No worries bro...

Just never sign for anything...

The delivery is key.

I have had gear seized and they asked me to go to the post office to claim the package... Uh yeah right! so I sent them a letter stating that i was not expecting a package and that I did not know anybody from Tia Land.

In a controlled delivery it is very obvious, different driver and they will ask you to sign for it.

BTW I have had packages take a month to arrive after they clear customs. In fact i almost always get a refund on packages sent internationaly becuase they are always late.

good luck

When it comes to setting up a controlled delivery, I am sure it takes time to set it up, (unless you live next to a major city's airport). I am not saying I believe your being set up though. Most likely if it's a controlled delivery, then you'll be asked to sign for it. Just tell them you're not expecting any package requiring a signature and tell them to return it to sender. Most important for now is to just chill out, no point in worrying over a very uncertain event.

Fella's - You can sign for and accept anything that is shipped to you. Simply open the package, dont take any shit out of it , set it somewhere near your door ( i put my packs, even if they come domestic on my bannister near the door ) with the words in permanent marker saying " RETURN TO SENDER " after 5 days, if the coppers havent came a knocking, you are good to go. There is a statute of limitations on this kind of search. You guys worry to much.
Telling him not to accept the pack is silly, would you have him waste all the money he spent instead ?

You're right--you can sign for anything. And it really doesn't matter if you do or you don't. Once you take that pack into your control, it's yours. And they don't come five days later, they come right away because they're parked around the corner filming the whole thing--trust me boys.

This is why, and it's said over and over again (but I'm gonna say it again anyway), KEEP YOUR HOUSE CLEAN; once more for the developmentally challenged: KEEP YOUR FUCKING HOUSE CLEAN!!!!!!!!!!

The pack is simply a vehicle upon which the search warrant is premised to provide entry. The pack gets them into the house. The onus is then on them to prove that you knew what was in the pack--you can beat that wrap with a good lawyer unless you left one hell of a trail. But you can't deny you didn't know what was in your house if they find shit. It's as simple as that. Pack get THEM in the house, gear subsequently found gets YOU into the big house. So KEEP YOUR HOUSE CLEAN!

IMO you are playing russian roulette if you order international.

With the terror alert level raised, and GWB wanting to crack down on them thar steee-roids, I think its pretty clear that they don't fuck around anymore.

Oh and yea, a customs agent isn't going to be suspicious when some kid named Timmy from Kentucky has a package coming in from Thailand, russia, or ukraine. LOL.

C'mon people, get your heads out of your asses and start ordering domestic and preserve your freedom and your sanity.

bro dont worrie, I always open my package as soon as I sign for it, i bring it into my house and use a razor blade to open it, then 5 minutes later I shoot up with the gear, so if they come slamming my door down I will pretend the gear was bad and start going into colvotions and having nervios twiches, so I can sue the fuckers for having me get the package and them giving me the gear with them knowing it was gear and they gave it to me anyway, they tried to kill me

LMAO!

ive signed for packs from russia before, even had to go to the post office to pick one up. i mean who the hell dont go pick up a pack, or open one up if its addressed to them. i think it looks more susp to send a damm letter to the post office sayin your not expecting a pack. i mean im sure we all get shit in the mail eveyday we arent expecting. i think if there gonna do a controled delivery, all they need is a pack addressed to your address, they dont need you to sign.

They don't need a signature, all they need is it to be in your posession. I'd clean house before going down to pick anything up. Never can be too safe. People say "oh fuck it just go pick it up" are the ones who've never had to pay $30,000 for an attorney and go thru the soul sapping experience of being on trial.
