Dbol only question.....

Hey bros...

For my first cycle I ran conservative with 25mg/day of dbol and 250mg/wk of sust. I also ran .5ml every other day of liquidex to keep bloat and sides down, and used clomid for post-cycle recovery. I was able to get pretty good results. I gained about 12lbs in 3 wks. However, weight gains pretty much stalled after the dbol was stopped. I realize a big part of this may be due to the low dose of sust that I was taking. I didn't see much bloat and really didn't have any sides. Also, I was able to keep a good amount after all was said and done.

Now to the present...

I was out of the gym for three months due to tendinitis in my shoulder that required physical therapy 3x/wk. I have been back in the gym for the past month and a half and have gotten back to where I was post cycle (I guess muscle memory IS for real). Anyway, the only thing I was able to come across lately was some dbol. I am considering running a 4-6wk cycle to get some additional strength and hopefully some mass. I'm not expecting miracles but I did have a couple of questions.

Should I stay at what was a safe dose last time (25mg/ml a day) or should I bump things up to 30mg/day being that it will be the only thing I'm running? I'm just a bit concerned about any hairloss. I don't have any male pattern baldness. Just a bit of a peaked hairline.

Should I run things for 4 or 6 wks? I ask this question because I was a bit concerned about liver toxicity, but I will also take milk thistle or liv-52 for precautionary measures. I will also be running the liquidex again to minimize bloat and any risk of gyno. I will also run nolvadex for post cycle recovery.

My stats are 5'8", 178lbs, about 14-16% body fat (that off time killed me). I've been lifting for about the last 6 years.

Sorry for such a lengthy write up. All opinions are appreciated.

I skipped over a lot of that, namely when I read that the gains had stalled and that you were planning on running dbol only.

To the latter, don't do it. Use some test, too.

Regarding the former, the gains stopped because you weren't eating enough. If you're not gaining weight, you're not eating enough. End of story. No arguments about it.

Thanks for the critique Grizzly. In defense I ate the same way throughout my first cycle. I also realize that it would be much better to run the test with the dbol, but like I said the dbol is what I have and I don't plan on doing many (if any cycles) after this one. That is why I prefaced that I wasn't expecting miracles. I am just trying to get the best out of what I have while minimizing side effects. I have read some posts of other members that have had some success with a dbol only cycles and was hoping I could get some insight.

first of all is the shoulder fully rehabbed?
If you start using gear until that shoulder is completely healed you are on the road to another injury.
I agree with Grizz on the rest.

That's part of the problem. You ate the same as your first cycle. Well, on your first cylce you were 175 and ended at 190. Trying to fuel a jump from 190-205 on calories that are only sufficient for 190lbs is the problem. The bigger you get, the more you have to eat. It sucks, but that's how it goes.

Again, let me reiterate. If you're not gaining weight, then you're not eating enough. If you're not gaining 1/2 lb/wk, then you need more food. If you're eating enough to grow, then you will atleast put on some fat. If you're not gaining fat or muslce, you are not eating enough. That's all there is to it.

ps- I don't know if those weights are correct, but I used them as examples to demonstrate what I meant.

Deacon...
The shoulder is about 90-95% healed. I still have to do some rotator cuff strengthening exercises (which I do before every chest and shoulder workout). Additionally, there are exercises that I have to stay away from. But, I have been taking the necessary steps towards preventing re-injuring myself.

Grizzly...
Since I have been back in the gym I have been concentrating on bringing my bodyfat down since it went up during the offtime (and I'm going to Jamaica at the end of the week). I will be starting a bulk phase on March 1st and this is when I plan to run the dbol. I definitely understand that running an injectable would be much better and would help in gaining more "quality" muscle. And, I'm sure anyone that would respond will mention that. However, I am limited in what I have and feel that I can still obtain some gains with dbol if done correctly. I hear ya on the eating thing. Last cycle I kept a diary. When I look back at it now I can't believe how much I was eating on a daily basis.

Thanks,
~Cruz~
