deep tissue massage

i hope this in the right section, but any way my good ole faithful dad has paid for me to get one. but anyway i got a pinched nerve that really bothers me form time to time. i go to a chiro it helps a lot, but here lately in the am i think my back broke been taking hydrocodone like tic tacs.,it has slowed traing especially in dead lift and squat. does any body have experience on this?

It's not in the right section.

But either way, massages can help. But you may want to stop squats, deadlifts. And go easy on bent over movements and compression movements.

I have a similar prob w a nerve in my lower back. I have completely stopped deadlifts and squats. I still do some compression movements like leg press, hack squat, and shoulder presses. But I just find a way to make it feel ok.

I get weekly massages. They help relieve the tension in muscles that will put extra strain on that area. I had a shoulder pain that I thought I should just massage my shoulder. When I told my massuse he massaged my scapula and rear delt. He said that area is tight which pulls the shoulder back creating tension.

So a good masseuse will be able to find the imbalance in muscle tension and fix. W lower back usually it's tension in you're hamstrings that will pull on you're lower back creating tension and furthering you're back pain.

Steroid underground?
It was one of those dodgey underground Thai massage places wasnt it..

Lots of causes for LB pain! Get a static & dynamic posture appraisal, they usually pinpoint anything that needs work and can really save you from future chiro visits, also can help a lot with training.

Well it depends what is actually causing the pain. I was having terrible pain in my shoulder/upper back region a year ago or so and thought it was a nerve because it was a unique pain. Well after resting it for a month it went away but returned almost immediately after hitting that spot on back day. Started getting massages and pain was gone. Still knots up here and there but I just have it rubed out when it does.

Go on youtube and check out Donnie Thompsons lower back protocol. Hanging upside down has helped me a ton. If you have the resources and the space buy a reverse hyper machine from Rougefitness. Using the machine in therapeutic fashion will help you lightly traction your back. When you get better you can work at it more aggressively. I do not think the deep tissue massage is going to help much if your just out of alignment and in need of adjustment. Massage, electro stim,ART/Graston, and regular cyro visits are all great for your health. If your really hurting though get an MRI and see what is really going on.I know how you feel I just pulled my back out and I know I am looking at weeks to recover fully. Hope you get better.

@Isaac , posture appraisal? Is this something you get from the chiropractors ?
A personal trainer will probably do it for free if you're nice and inquire about sessions. Here's some videos of how it's done.
It's not something you can perform on yourself unfortunately.

@LastSonOfKrypton518 , it seems like your issues have the potential to be more serious than mine. However, I find myself battling back pain from time to time. Perhaps the best $100+/- I ever spent was on an inversion machine.
Within 5 minutes of using it the first time my pain began to subside.

"rolfing"?? o_O Is that when you get your girl from the back?
It's called doggie-style in the N.E.. ;)
No that is ass-feltching, anyways I got ass massages in Mexico (professionally) and that shit was so good , I took viagra before hand and wacked off after the masseuse left the room , I only paid 40$ for TWO massages and the chicks were hot and massaged where I had pinned a few days before
They were literally massaging in my juice before I massaged out my juice of my dick

It's not the right place.

Deep tissue massage is great. You can't get just one. When I trained heavy I would get one a week. It will make a difference.
