Detox

Long story short, have been taking see pain meds for some pain from a car accident. Continued taking past the point of actually needing them. Decided enough was enough and came off everything yesterday. So far detox hasn't been to severe, insomnia, muscle cramps and blood feeling like it wants to rip out of my body.

I am a bit disappointed in myself for going down this rabbit hole again. It's been a long time since I've let it get to the point of getting sick when stopping. Though I'd throw it out there to help keep myself accountable. Anyhow that's were I am at. Hope y'all have a good day, and hopefully someone else can relate.

Kratom was a lifesaver for me. Didn't 'fix' it but made it much, much, much more tolerable. Make sure you have a taper exit strategy for the kratom. Find the dose that works for you and weigh it on a gram scale and record the time you took it. Reduce the amount you use and increase the time between dosages over a three week period then call it quits. I know substituting one thing for another isn't a good idea in general and if you're making it ok going cold turkey please continue. I'm just sharing my experience. I'm sure stopping all at once would have only worked for a day or two in my case before going back on the pharmaceutical meds. Just trying to help as detoxing off oxy's was one of the worst experiences in my life.

You're definitely not the only one on here who's gone through/going through that shit brother.

Wether it was the drink or the coke for me, quitting cold sucks.
Stay on track ,post up if your feeling it too much and the boys will jump in and chat.

Cardio helps, long run in the heat... feels like fucking torture at the time, but you get some peace when you're done

Do not take Kratom, it will only delay the detox! Many people switch pain meds for kratom, bad idea.

I've detoxed from pain pills a number of times. I'm glad yours isn't too bad and you realized you had a problem instead of continuing. I just remember no appetite, profuse sweating then cold chills, and insomnia. Hang in there, each day gets better.

No plans on taking kratom or any thing else. I'll just have a shitty feeling week. Thanks for all the support guys.
