DNP And Customs

Hello,

I just ordered kilo of DNP Powder for "dying my clothes and killing bugs" What is the status of sending it to the Philippines in asia or anywhere for that matter. Would the fact that it is a explosive make a difference? I really don't want to relabel the package as just send it saying exactly what it is.
By the way this isn't a troll question. I am dead serious.

Listen, "Bro", I don't want to insult your intelligence (or make comments about your appearent lack of it), but:

DNP IS NOT FUCKING EXPLOSIVE!!!

If this information is a revalation to you...then go away and read more... then ask informed questions and certainly before giving advise like you have been doing! You've got no experience to speak from. We all know you're not born knowing these things. You gotta learn to use Google and this site's search feature !

Wiki quote: "Uses- Commercial DNP is primarily used for scientific research and in manufacturing. It has been used at times to make dyes, other organic chemicals, and wood preservatives. It has also been used to make photographic developer, explosives, and pesticides."

In order for DNP to function as or become an explosive it requires the presence of ammonia ( or a derivitive) and/or alkalai metals. If DNP is allowed to become anhydrous (dried out to less than 12% water), which is far drier than any you will get from a supplier, then it can flash if exposed to extreme heat and very low relative humidity (@15%). There is a difference between flammable and explosive.
It is usually stabilized at 30 to 35% water by weight when sold or shipped.

I know more about chemicals used in explosives than you could possibly imagine.
FWIW: I was an American Military "Advisor" after the bombings there in 2007, 2009, 2010.

There is no known prohibition to its import into the Philippines. Whether its possesion there for personal/non-commercial uses is legal or not is debatable. If that's where you live, then you certainly know, and I have personally witnessed, what happens if you're caught in possession of controlled substances!

I hope this clears this up. Wish you the best.

Peace,
Ian

I appreciate it. That helps.
How did u like the philippines?

I have been there on several occasions and have always found the people to be among the friendliest on earth. Never had a bad experience there. Would like to go back now and visit as a civilian. In the past I was hunting terrorists and acting as an advisor to the military. I love the people!

Bro, I would not want to get found with any large amount of any kind of powder in that part of the world. You could rot in jail for year before they test it, and find out its not drugs. Worst case they just give you a death sentence, becouse the police will never admit they made a mistake.
