DNP - And why it causes you to retain water

One topic on DNP that I haven't seen tackled here and seldom elsewhere is what's the cause of water weight and why you retain it?

This is the only info I can find that touches on the subject, Now I'm not sure how accurate this info is tho.

Does anyone know the science behind this?
