DNP - And why it causes you to retain water

Does anyone know the science behind this?

One posters response is that

" Part of the reson that dnp - dinitrophenol - use causes water is that for every 1lb of fat you burn 1 1/2lbs of water is created. This occurs because fat cells are composed of Carbon (C), Hydrogen (H), and Oxygen (O). The by-products created from the burning of these extra fat cells are Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O). Also fluids tend to aculate under the skin as part of the bodys response to trying to regulate your temp. "

Can anyone elaborate on this?
