Does tubing from pump to bottletop need to ne sterile?

Does the tubing going from the pump or the brake bleeder to the bottletop filter need to be sterile?

I haven't used bottle top filtration in years but my tubing and hand pump were never sterile for my homebrews. Never had a problem with it but there is going to be some miniscule increase of introducing contamination this way.

If I were using bottle top filtration today I don't think I'd sterilize the tubing for homebrew.

Never used sterile and has never been an issue. Just make sure you only remove the tubing when there is no vacuum.
