swale's opinion on dostinex for improved libido?

does anyone use dostinex(cabergoline) to improve libido?

if so what doses do you run?

have you experienced any side effects from it?

I'm going to take an educated guess and say that you shouldn't take dostinex unless you have elevated prolactin. Nor should you expect increased libido unless you have elevated prolactin.

From what I hear on those 'other' boards, Dostinex (and Bromo) often carry their own side effects, anyway.

Dostinex raises dopamine levels, and can eliminate the refractory period for men. It is meant for treatment of Parkinson's but yeah, it is great for libido. I do not think you want to do any type of permanent damage to your dopamine system, mess up your dopamine system and you could be depressed for life.

I considered this at one time when my sex drive was nil, but thought better of it. If you have no libido I would suspect your estrogen or t levels could be out of whack. I am going through a similar problem right now and luckily found that my estro is through the roof.
Luckily I have a great HRT doctor that I trust will help me get straightened out. I suspect this may have been a lifelong problem for me as I have had depression problems since puberty.

Does anyone know how long Dos takes to work? Proscar works very fast (within hours dramatically dropping DHT). Does Dosinex work with the same speed?

I took dos. for a few weeks but didn't notice a big change. I read studies where men were on it for 6 months or more and had greatly improved T levels.

Actually I'm just the opposite. I have no libido whatsoever but my T level is ok and my E2 is low. Strange.

I don't know about this I can see one taking it if your high over the range. I just had my Prolactin checked and I am 6.02 range 1.8 - 14.4 ng/mL to me this seams to be on the low side of normal. I have heard of men taking something to lower the levels to 1 and calm to be able to keep on going after an orgasm for 2 or 3 more. Doing this is not normal lets get real her my wife would not last that long she would get sore.
