Damn bro, I can't responsibly recommend the use of opiates. Back in like '91 when I was really ramping up my competitive career, I would fly to L.A. often for photo shoots, my fiancee was a fitness competitor, & just to train & learn. I live there now. Anyway, a lot of the top guys were using bain back then. The thought, as put forth by Duchaine, was that it was thermogenic. So I did like they were doing, shot like 20mg before cardio. I hate fucking cardio & it made it tolerable & I would sweat my ass off. So then I started using before training w/ my ECA. It seemed to be beneficial for awhile. But, pretty soon my pre cardio shot lead to a pre training shot which eventually lead to a shot in the morning and so forth until eventually I was taking 5 shots a day. I did this until like late '94. Withdrawals are not as bad people make them out to be. Stop on a Friday, you'll have a shitty weekend, but you'll be functional by Monday. Anyway, I don't think in retrospect that it did much for fat loss other than the fact that I was more inclined to do more cardio if I was on bain. I spent a shitload of money on that crap, my fiancee became addicted as well. I quit opiates for awhile, then started back on hydrocodone 10s. Eventually I was taking like 30-40 10s a day. Well, I quit that for awhile & later picked up oxys. Much, much worse than bain. I was eating like 4-6 80mg oxys a day. I quit that last year & have not picked up anything since. So to answer your question, yes it did seem to help me for awhile. It made cardio easier & I had some hellacious workouts, even w/ minor injuries. But I have an addictive personality, and it is really what started my history of opiate addiction. This was the case w/ more people than not. I do have a good friend who turned pro in the mid 90s & I never saw him do more than 20mg before cardio only. But, he was the exception rather than the norm. I also think that by training on bain I incurred more joint problems that manifested later. We woud shoot nubain & use DMSO w/ WD40. Not good for joint integrity over the long term because the pain is masked. So, precontest it helps a lot. Off season is not much benefit. If you're the type of person who can use opiates successfully, it will help you. More so w/ the pain of training than thermogenic fat loss or anti-catabolism. I'm not the type of person that uses opiates "successfully," there is no such thing for me. I'll never be a hypocrite & say don't do shit that I myself did for years, but just know what you're getting yourself into. Nubain use in the top ranks is not nearly as widespread as it used to be for this reason, it causes more problems for most than it helps them. LMK if you have any other questions.
Tank, what's up bro. Good to see some familiar old faces. I looked @ the thread, I think Max Rep did quite a satisfactory job in answering that question. Whatever is more user friendly (cost, etc.). For the most part Proviron is more user friendly than Masteron. For the purpose you are using it for I don't think there will be an appreciable difference b/w the two, so whatever is easier.
