Economics of brewing

I'm currently going through a lot of primo. Alpha-Pharma, and annoyingly it's only 100mg/ml so a lot of pins.

It struck me that maybe I should look into brewing my own, see if I could increase the concentration and save money too.

So I got a handful of quotes from Chinese suppliers for 100 grams of 99.9% primobolan enanthate. They range from $13 to $18 per gram.

Considering all the rest of the stuff needed, vials, stoppers, caps, crimper, filter and other things - I'm questioning the economics. Currently, I pay right under $50 per 10ml vial of Alpha-Pharma primo, so the savings aren't particularly exciting.

Am I off here?

Saving 35$ per gram and the ability to make it at 200-300mg/ml isn’t worth it?

You're discounting all the necessary equipment needed. I can't eat the powder.... And there's also the time and effort.

I think the total cost is more like $30 per 10ml vial, at the same concentration. So saving perhaps $20 per vial - this is disregarding the time and effort.

Just curious what the math looks like for those who brew.

Higher concentration would be the main reason.

You can get everything to brew for 150-200$ for a simple setup. I have probably 500-800$ in brewing equipment, maybe less. You don’t need everything I have but it makes it a better/easier process and I’m obsessive.

I can make a bottle of test 300mg/ml for $4.50. This factors in all cost minus intitial startup equipment.

Yeah man I looked in to it and doesn’t seem worth it once you buy vials and what not but if you are buying a shipment of gear anyway I think it it might, you can make blends as well to cut down on vials and other experiences but I’d rather keep them separate.

Thanks for the numbers.

Test is cheap, I buy 10ml of Alpha-Pharma 250 for $20 some dollars. For some reason I thought the savings would be greater.

DNP powder, now THAT'S cheap. But what a mess to deal with.

Yeah, you are gonna save alot of money instead of paying 40$ for a 10 ml bottle but the problem is to find a legit source. I heard PPL has real stock.

Totally agree
you can start brewing for under $200 in equipment.
Some of that is reusable (beakers, hot plate, stirrer, scale, pipettes or graduated cylinders)

At some point it becomes a hobby
so you won't mind spending some extra $ on unneeded equipment, because you actually enjoy brewing.

Everyone should filter any and all UG gear, to avoid infections
since you already need to buy the filters to do so, why not brew it all yourself?

Adding for more reading later , newbie here and I'm getting a headache trying to find my way around lol ... soooo much to read

I prefer brewing but it's not practical for everybody.

If I didn't have such ready access to near pharma grade when I go overseas, I'd probably dive into it. And I'm still tempted, just to get higher concentration of primo and EQ - so annoying with only 100mg/ml. And there's the challenge of doing it on my own, which sounds interesting. The downside is that I'd probably do so much that I'd wind up passing some along to friends who lift, and that seems risky.

You could just buy enough raws to only last you a certain length of time.

It’s not just the price but also the self reward. Nowadays, If I don’t make it, i find it hard to use. If you’re lucky you might even come across a private raw dealer ;)
