Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
What do you guys think of this?

It occurred to me yesterday that I could put a couple of my TRT lectures on CD-ROM. Then I could provide them to doctors. Even to the lay public, who want to learn about TRT--AND HAVE SOMETHING THEY COULD TAKE TO THEIR DOCTORS TO EDUCATE THEM AS WELL.

I have several lectures on the topic that I have delivered to groups of physicians already.

The "Hypogonadism and the Adult Male" talk was the first of its kind ever delivered before the Michigan Osteopathic Association, at its 2004 annual convention. It lists the various disease processes associated with low testosterone, and the effectiveness of TRT at treating same. All backed by many scientific studies. This lecture is meant to make it "okay" for doctors to prescribe TRT.

The "TRT: A Recipe for Success" is the one that has carried me around the world on behalf of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. It is the roll-up-your-sleaves how-to talk that equips physicians to go back to their practices and immediately begin administering EXPERT TRT. It is based upon the paper you have all seen stickied here.

The third lecture I have given deals with "Estrogen Metabolism and the Adult Male". It is probably beyond what is practical on a commercial basis.

I called a colleague of mine who owns a physician education service, which provides CME (Continuing Medical Education) credit for physicians. Unless we CERTIFY an average of 50 hours of CME per year, we lose our medical licenses. He already certified my TRT:A Recipe for Success talk in Vegas for CME a year ago. I asked him about certifying the lecture set, and he said "No problem". He then went on to educate me about the process. It will take some work, but the basic lectures are already in the can.

Then doctors could get what I have without having to spend a lot to go to the conferences. And the opportunity to get, for instance, 2 CME's for it, would make the deal quite attractive. Especially if a patient, who wants expert TRT, brings the set to their docs, and provides them use of it. The patient gets the TRT they want, the doc learns what to do. Win win for all.

Maybe a second disc, included, which contains printable abstracts of the studies involved, as well as the paper you all have already seen, would be helpful as well?

We could also update the information as I further evolve my protocols, and new information related to hypogonadism comes in, and this could be provided to previous clients through Internet downloads.

You guys are my Focus Group to help develop this idea. All questions/comments/smart-remarks are welcome.

I still need to arrange for financial backing of the project. WE (meaning us guys here) also need to figure out how much to charge for it.

great ideas. Suggest you add material as case studies for the various protocols you use. I would also strongly suggest you create a disk to teach docs to help AAS users to do PCT and then HRT/TRT.

Ooooooh. GREAT ideas. Thank you!

Th efcat you are a professional as well lends expert perspective here.

Just what I am looking for.

what I haven't seen on the boards or at 4AM is an illustrative guide to taking someone's conventional blood, urine, and presenting problems (or just an annual physical done) for a middle-aged person and then build an antiaging program--hrt included of course. Thus a primary care doc could see how his work is complimented by antiaging assessment and intervention or allow the primary care doc to compliment his or her work with an antiaging component.

Excellent!

I don't have any ideas to add at the moment, but I think these are all great ideas and offer my enthusiastic support in any way I can.

I think it is a great idea go to this link and you can get a good idea how it's done. The Dr. is in Mi. but most of his CDROM's were on pellets and showed other Dr.'s how to put them in. He got into trouble with BCBS and has moved to Florida and sold the practice to a new Dr. but his site is still up.

Id purchase one myself, and have several bros at the gym that would really use something like that with their Uros/Endos.

Great idea, Doc!

I KNOW A LOT ABOUT THIS DOCTOR, AND HE IS NO ONE WE WANT TO LINK TO ON THIS FORUM. THAT IS PROBABLY ALL I SHOULD SAY ABOUT THAT.

THANKS ANYWAY, PHIL.

Excellent idea!!!!

This would be a major advancement in treating men with low T. Currently these men are being treated for everything except low T.

I buy LOTS of supplements from various mail order outfits. Usually my individual purchases run around $300-$400 per order. Spending over a certain amount qualifies you for free gift(s). Most of the time it's a T-shirt, shaker bottle, or hat. But, often you can elect to get a video tape or CD on various subjects. Perhaps you could look into this to help spread the word about the benefits of HRT/TRT and other subject matter.....without patients the Doctors have no market.

That's a good idea, too. The problem is that it is going to cost well over $90,000 to get this thing off the ground. That or I am going to have to give away substantial portions of the proceeds in exchange for help with it, and they will expect to be compensated for their investment.
