Fat post workout

I never made it a point to avoid but I never went out of my way to include it either. Also don’t think there’s any science to support avoiding it or not.

That sounds promising. On my way to work and only quick animal pro I had available was eggs and bacon or some sirloin I’ve had marinating for like a week. I think the avoidance was something about insulin.

Protein over a certain amount will spike insulin.

Post workout I wouldn't worry about it too much. We've used breakfast burritos for PWO meals for years. Long as its not loaded down with garbage it's great.

In general, fat will slow digestion. But we know the anabolic window is garbage, so I don’t see any specific reason to avoid. Especially if cals are a priority.

I find oils and nut butters really “stick” to foods and create a fatty layer around them making the stomach acid work harder to break down the mush in your stomach. Nuts on the other hand don’t really stick to food like oils and fatty meats and whole eggs. I would be surprised if nuts slow digestion to the same extent as oils and saturated fats from meat, butters, etc.
