Filter help

Ok so i got some filters other day an think I fucked up well I know I did because there not sterile but they look smaller than the ones i used last time maybe its just cause there not in individual packages but I wanted to double check View attachment 102843

Gmf is not what most use. I want to say gdx. But either way if it's not sterile it's really not what you'd want to use.

It’s a .2 millipore once the BA and media pass through that should be considered sterile. Correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read this more than once.

Yeh I heard I can run ba through it but I'm not sure if I can use these I used the gdx ones last time I just couldnt remember the letters I had a big pack of them so this is only my second time buying them are these ok to use if sterilized

Btw I heard if I just put a few ml through then discard it that the rest will be sterile I never have done it but got a bunch so it would be a shame to waste them

You’ll be fine my dude. BA, B.B. your oil and filter it through the .2. It will be sterile. I know it

For anyone in future that needs this thread let me clarify the filters I have are fine to use gmf stands for glass micro fibre the whatman gdx filters are better to use tho they have a multi stage filter an can use more volume an handle more pressure they have the gmf built in as a stage of the gd x filter so they are a better choice but that beings said whatman 22 pvdf gmf filters that are pictured above can be used an will produce sterile oil but are not the best ones money can buy Toyota compared to Porsche
