Filtering Multiple Times

I keep hearing from people that this lab or that lab triple filters their oils. Does filtering oils multiple times actually make any difference? I'd assume filtering through 0.22um filters multiple times wouldn't make a difference.

Also, is there any benefit to filtering multiple times with different types of filters with the same size? I.e Nylon 0.22um then 0.22um PTFE?

.22um filters prevent bacteria from contaminating your gear, making it sterile, except for all the species of bacteria smaller than .22um.

These are the shards from typical cheap borosilicate glass vial delamination, caught in a filter and viewed under a microscope. So maybe the best plan would be to filter your brew once, then use a syringe filter to draw into your syringe immediately before pinning. Or not. I'm sure this glass is broken down and digested once it's injected, somehow...or maybe it stabs the bacteria that get through the .22 filter to death so the risk evens out in the end.
