filtering question

you guys seem to filter whole/multiple vials at once to one big vial

would it be same thing to just always draw with 18g 5 micron filter needle?

will it effect on compounds in any way, like filtering the actual compound off?

compounds should not get filtered out, no.
just using a .22 syringe filter is enough, no need to get fancy with it, filter needle should work as well. only difference is filtering once and being done with it vs. filtering a bit of oil every time you draw and using more filters + losing a bit of oil every time

Most of us use a 0.22 micron to filter into a big vial.
5.0 micron filters don't really filter out much except large piece of rubber.
Spike filters are also 5.0 micron. Good for rubber, not sufficient for making it sterile.

An 18G needle will pretty much destroy the vial core really quick, which is something you want to avoid.

yes thanks for answer, on vials the rubber here is main thing i want to avoid pinning (qsc)

got those 18g 5um filter needles almost same price as normal drawing needles, before this i have just always drawn with 23g without any filtering

Don't use an 18g.

Filter using a 0.22 micron filter instead of a 5.0 micron filter.
If there's rubber in the vials, its no longer sterile. There's probably worse things in there that you cant' see with your eyes.
