Fina Homebrew

Hey guys. I'm fixing to brew up a couple kits and was wondering if I still need to pre filter with a coffee filter before it goes through my bottle top? I'm stoked. I have'nt made fina tren in over ten years. :)

Definitely yes. There is a lot of gunk in there. You will be clogging your filter before you even filter one ml. Also, don't put all your oil in before you run through the coffee filter. After you filter, pour your oil you set aside through the filter to pick up any extra goodness that is trapped in it. Hope that made sense.

I'm not sure why I never thought of this route before. My buddy just ordered from an online vet and had to play 20 questions. I'm guessing as long as someone is'nt ordering large volumes, it should be fine.

You've got the ultimate hook-up! What did it run per cart?

My yeild for his carts was just a cunt hair shy of 38 mL. I was pretty happy since I hadn't messed with pellets in many years and I had a few glassware transfers.

What carrier oil did you use? I used mct this last time and it pins very smooth.

I used to ad MCT's to my shakes back in the day but I have never used it as a carrier. I used GSO. He has pinned twice now and said it was smooth. The pellets are'nt as dark as they used to be and they crushed much easier. I'm assuming it is because they use less glue and binders these days. The finished product was beautiful and I can't wait to brew mine. Maybe I will use MCT.

So yeah my family has a 2900 acre cattle ranch in south eastern Oklahoma and we have a ton of fina..... I mean it's as easy as buying tick tacs at a gas station down here....... I've just never brewed any ace before to be honest I've never brewed at all lol I'm afraid there's a little more then just reading to it

I made some for a friend of mine and used safflower oil. He said it was thick... The mct is like pushing water thru a 25g.
