Finally Joined a New Gym

Finally I'm free from the shithole that I used to train at (Bally's). All I can say is 180 lb metal db's, nothing but metal plates, bars with grip on them (gasp!), awesome squat racks, and a lifting podium, which is something I've never had the privilege of using before. Not to mention all sorts of other crap that I liked. I'm excited mainly because my chest is my lagging bodypart and now I can finally do really heavy db declines, which have always been my favorite but I never had heavy enough dumbells in my gym. Plus my adidas ironworks will be here thursday, right in time for squatting. I've been stuck pretty much right around 225 for a while and I think this change will get me past this because I'm excited to work out now. The only bad thing was having to listen to the salesman tell me about how one year ago he was 250 at 8%, benching 500, and considering entering the some huge California show, I think the Orange County. The funny thing was that the only thing I saw in front of me was a skinny fat guy, you know the type.

Does he have any clue as to how long it takes to look like shit after looking like a god? Obviously not.

Bally's ha!
I jusy moved myself, and stopped in a Bally's, I was a little put off by the salesman telling me nobody uses db's heavier than 85lbs. For a min. I thought maybe I was the strongest man in the world. The gym I trained at for the last 5 yrs. was 99% free weight, the only machines we had to work with, were a smith, and a lat, thats it,so 85lb db, just won't cut it. The best part is when I told the guy I fly more than 85lbs. he said prove it. What a dick.
later.

Did you prove it?

I'm about to start a new job(I hope, we'll see this week) so I'll be confined to a YMCA. Oh well, I'll survive. I only need a bench, an incline, a squat rack and a barbell.

Abso-friggin-lutely......that is truly all one needs.

Congrats on finding a good gym primo. It will make all the difference in the world.....believe me, i'm still bitter that powerhouse is gone.....I was in better shape last August than I am now training at Gold's with all the little degenerate piss pants running around.

I know what you mean Hogg. Even though the equipment is awesome and that's all I really care about, I've never seen so many 20-25 year olds with 16 inch arms walking around with cut off shirts on. There is a Powerhouse in Tempe, Arizona, and when I was at ASU I worked out there sometimes, and that place could not be beat. Best gym I've ever been to without a doubt.

gold's gym - redondo beach. hot bitches on the cardio in front of the window that over looks the PacO, serious lifters behind them lifting and taking in the veiw between sets. i'll see you there this summer.

Ymca

my YMCA is actually pretty well stocked they are equal to the golds gym in the next town. I would even say better.

The Y i used while i was in Louisville went up to 100 lb dbs and had one squat rack. Normally didn't have any wait though b/c the majority of people were on treadmills and machines. It was fine

a little late with reply.
Actually I did, the guy would'nt shut up.But that did the trick.I did a set of fly's.
