Finasteride and still hair loss? Is it post tren cycle problems?

For some reason I'm experiencing hair loss. I know I'm prone to it, so whenever I up my test-e to like 500mg per week I take 1.25mg of finasteride ED. This always seemed to work for me.

Currently running 250mg test-e per week and 2.5mg finasteride.
Even tried 5mg: 2.5mg in the morning and 2.5mg in the evening.

But still experiencing hair loss for some reason. So it seems to me that it isn't the DHT that is causing the problems.
BTW, in case you are wondering. The finasteride I take is pharma grade. Prescription from my doctor.

But, I did just finish a tren-e blast. Was blasting that for 10 weeks, also with 250mg test-e per week, but I finished that a month ago.

I didn't had any problems during my blast. Could tren-e be the culprit here, after a few weeks of stopping with it?

Any hormonal fluctuations can cause hair loss. Could also just be telogen efflevium and you're just going through a shedding phase of telogen phase hairs that will grow back as normal with some time.

Good point, even minoxidil can cause a shedding phase that could make your hair look worse than before you started and then grow thicker hairs back. So, it could just be a stress response or hormonal changes due to the test. Maybe look into dutasteride for extra protection if fin doesn't seem like enough.

But could it also be the tren post cycle causing the issue? I remember reading about that once. But not sure if this can actually be a thing.

I have been applying minoxidil once a day for years now.

I’ll contact my doc to see if he wants to switch me over to dutasteride. Seems more promising based on what I’ve read so far.

The tren itself shouldn’t be doing anything since it’s cleared your system (or very minimum amount of tren e still remains at ~1 month postcycle). I’d chalk it up to hormone fluctuation. Seems the ramp up and come down is when I get hit with the most hair shedding and acne
