Finesteride Clearance Time

I need to take full advantage of DHT (the hardness factor). How far out (weeks) from my competition should I stop the finesteride so conversion fully takes place?

Thanks, TenMan

very short half-life....

In healthy young subjects (n=15), mean plasma clearance of finasteride was 165 mL/min (range, 70-279 mL/min) and mean elimination half-life in plasma was 6 hours (range, 3-16 hours) ... The mean terminal half-life of finasteride in subjects greater than or equal to 70 years of age was approximately 8 hours (range, 6-15 hours; n=12), compared with 6 hours (range, 4-12 hours; n=12) in subjects 45-60 years of age ... 0 to 55 mL/min, AUC, maximum plasma concentration, half-life, and protein binding

if your not gonna use propecia constantly-365 days a year, you might as well cut it out completly because then it won't save your hair unless your always on it..

I am on it 365 days of the year and it has done wonders for my formerly thinning crown, but I don't think I'm coming in as hard as I should be in my competitive events. And I believe the reason is that the finesteride is blocking the conversion of AAS to DHT which is responsible for the "hardness factor."

I plan on being your next Master Mr. Michigan (2005)...and if I have to lose a few strands of hair to get it, so be it.
