Hey everybody. After doing my Meso-Rx research and getting some great feedback/advice from this community, it is finally time to start my first cycle. I plan to make this a pretty thorough log of my experience as a newbie that will hopefully help others new to the game. I will be posting blood work, workouts (some at least), body composition changes, etc... hopefully once a week. Thanks for coming!

Special Circumstance for me:
I have a history of testicular cancer (cancer free for 4 years now) and did have one of my testicles removed because of it as well as going through chemo. My testosterone production was low-normal before the removal and has recovered to values similar to pre-cancer. This extra circumstance is why I am being extra careful with a testosterone-only cycle (hcg use and good pct). I have talked to other people in my same situation as well as received medical advice and the information I have gathered supports AAS use as being just as safe with 1 testical as with 2. I will be getting mid and post blood work as well as seeing my doctor throughout this journey. Wish me luck! :)

Pre-Cycle Blood Work (7/26/2016)
Testosterone (Total): 239.1ng/dl (considered low) *My doctor had me fast and do a more accurate re-test of blood work for Free Testosterone --->
Testosterone (Free): 8.7pg/ml (normal, low-end)
FSH: 5.3
LH: 5.3
Cholesterol: 144mg/dl
HDL: 53 mg/dl
LDL: 79 mg/dl
ALT: 28 u/l
AST: 43 u/l

My "more accurate" free testosterone test was normal (albeit low). With my age and lack of low testosterone symptoms I was not recommended for testosterone replacement. My plan is to do this cycle and see how my testosterone recovers. More blood tests to come :)

First Week Results:
Weight: 211.5 (up 2 lbs) - My weight tends to vary +/- 4 lbs through a week

Workouts: Feeling strong, no noticeable AAS impact yet. I have consistently been increasing strength 5% or so a week. This is continuing.

Labido: This seemed to increase after a few days the first week. Loving the wife more than usual :). God I love skirts.....

Pinning: This is my first experience pinning and it has gone well. With Sustanon I am pinning 3x week (M/W/F) and I have some slight soreness, but no real PIP. I think the minor soreness is probably due to my virgin muscle. I have been alternating glutes.

More to come :)

Leg Day 8/29
*Lifts felt good and squats are coming back around (have been fighting some knee discomfort the last few months, but seems to have finally fully subsided)
*Don't feel the sustanon kicking in yet. Libido is still high. Feel good. Weight up a few pounds. No drastic strength increases yet. Looking forward to getting to that week 3 mark where I am told sustanon hits like a ton of bricks.

Back Squat 7x6
Front Squat 3x8

Superset
Leg Press 4x15
Single Leg Deadlifts 3x10ea

Superset
1 Lying Hamstring Curl 3x10
2 Hack Squat/Sissy Squat 3x10

Superset
1 DB Stiff-leg deadlifts 3x8
2 Barbell Stationary Lunges

Superset
1 Planks 3xmax time
2 Split leg crunches 3x24

Last shot of week 2 is tomorrow. Feeling good.

Second Week Results:
Weight: 216 (up 6 lbs) - My weight tends to vary +/- 4 lbs through a week

Workouts: Feeling strong, no noticeable AAS strength impact yet. My joints are feeling better than they have in 6 months or so. Heavier weights feeling easier on the joints.

Labido: Through the roof. This change is incredible.

Pinning: Still going well. Even though I am doing MWF, I am having no PIP. Not even soreness. I am mostly doing my right flute due to ease of using my dominant hand. Any drawback to using the same sight often?

Looking forward to sustanon kicking in this coming week or next.

I'd rotate sites, especially pinning 3x weekly. Switch sides and add in delts maybe, they're easy.

Cool. I'll do that. As far as I know there isn't a problem with effectiveness due to
Injection site right? The rotation is more for avoiding soreness?

I've seen absorption rates mentioned on here and that it may vary by site, but I don't remember where I saw it or what was said, so just take it as bro science unless you check into it and find it for yourself. I rotate glutes and delts and I've never noticed anything out of the ordinary.

It's not just soreness though, it's building up scar tissue and possibly causing an infection. Oil might not all dissipate by the time you pin again, too.

Perrin,

Makes sense. Thanks for the input. I'll make sure to get my rotations in. What length needle do you usually use for Delts? I have 1.5" for my glutes. I may just try going in half way.

I use 1" for both now that I'm more lean. I can bury the entire needle in glutes or delts no problem.

Delts are really easy, just make sure you're in the right place and go in at the right angle. I've got tats on both arms that make perfect reference points.

Third Week Results:
Weight: 218 (up 8 lbs) - My weight tends to vary +/- 4 lbs through a week. My weight has been steadily creeping up since week 1. I am at roughly a 500-1000 calorie surplus, but work has been more physically demanding lately. I am a firefighter and it can be hard to gauge my actual energy expenditure. I will try to be a little more strict this coming week.

Workouts: Feeling strong, no noticeable AAS strength impact yet. bench: up 10lbs, squat: up 15lbs, deadlift: up 20lbs. I am still coming back from a back injury so sometimes squat and dreads can't be done as hard as I want to. Have to "listen" to my back to see how it is feeling.

Labido: Through the roof. This change is incredible.

I don't believe the sustanon is really causing much effect for strength/weight yet. I am training more often (5-6 days) and at a bit of a calorie surplus (was at 500-1000 calorie deficit pre-cycle) which I think have contributed to my weight gain so far. Body fat appears similar.

I think next week will be the week of more felt effects. Thanks for reading.

Keep eating and lifting heavy! But don't let your ego get in the way, nothing worse than being injured and having AAS in your system.

Fourth Week Results
Weight: 218 (up 8 lbs) - I cut my caloric intake down this week from roughly 1000 calorie surplus to roughly 500 calories. I was gaining a little extra body fat and this reduction already seems to have helped my look. My weight stayed consistent with last week, although my strength and workouts have definitely improved.

Mood: This week was the first week where I did feel a noticeable boost in my mood. I woke up Tuesday and felt very amped to workout and overall a little euphoric. Not sure if this is an effect of the Sustanon, but I think it may be.

Workouts: This week is the first week where I felt noticeable strength improvements and my workout endurance has improved. I feel like I can train hard for longer no problem.

Prior to this week my typical workout was the following:
15 minutes mobility (foam roll, mobility drills, "pre-hab")
45 minute lift (almost all my exercises are supersets. During chest day, for instance, I will do core or lower body mobility between each bench press set. I typically superset a muscle group NOT related to my primary muscle group being worked. I have listed my most recent chest workout below.
20 minute cardio (typically stair mill or incline walking)
(80 minute total workout allocation)

Starting this week (due to increased workout endurance from AAS):
15 minutes mobility
60-70 minute lift (still almost all supersets)
20 minute cardio
(95-105 minute total workout allocation)

Chest Day (Yesterday)
Mobility Warmups (band pullaparts, wall slides, rotator cuff exercises, etc...)
Barbell Bench 135x8,185x8,225x8,265x8,275x8 (341lb predicted max, up 21lbs from pre AAS max. Had been doing primarily high reps for 6months prior to AAS)
w/v-ups 4x15
Incline DB Bench 60x10,75x10,85x10,95x10 (could have been heavier, will increase)
w/Hanging leg raises 3x15
Close-Grip DB Bench Press 70x10,80x10,90x10
w/Single leg deadlifts 3x12ea (BW)
DB Flyes 35x10+10,35x10+10,40x10+10
w/Wide Grip Pushups 3x20
DB Rolling Tricep Extensions 30x12,35x12,40x12
w/Modified Supermans
Cable Pushdowns 4x15
w/Overhead Cable Extensions 4x12
Cardio (100floors on stair mill in 13:08), 10minute incline walk

Any and all feedback is appreciated. I will keep updating weekly. Thanks for reading!

Fifth Week Results
Weight: 219.5 (up 9.5 lbs) - My weight increase has slowed down (diet is cleaner than first few weeks) and I am looking a little leaner. Getting comments from about looking bigger and my thickness has definitely improved.

Mood: Fantastic.

Workouts: My workout endurance and strength has continued to remain very high. I can easily train hard (mostly supersets) for over an hour. 45 minutes used to be just about right to fatigue my target muscle groups.

Prior to this week my typical workout was the following:

Leg Day (Today)
Mobility Warmups (Foam rolling, dynamic warmup, leg swings, squat to stand, etc...)

Squats 135x15,225x12,295x10,315x10,335x10,335x10 (felt very strong, usually stuck around 310 for 10)
w/band pullaparts 4x20
Modified Hack Squat (Machine) 225x15,315x12,385x10,405x10,405x10
w/modified superman 3x10ea
Step Ups 45'sx10ea,50'sx10,55'sx10
w/planks 3xmax time
Single Leg Deadlifts 45x8ea,50x8,50x8
Leg Press 360x15,450x15,540x12,630x12,720x12,810x12
w/Hip mobility Drill
Lying Leg Curl 140x12,140x12,140x12
w/hanging leg raises

No sides so far that I can tell. Pinning is going great and I am alternating between shoulders and glutes. I will be getting blood work done in the next week or two. Loving this first cycle.

Fifth Week Results
Weight: 220 (up 10 lbs) - I am very happy with my gains so far. I started this cycle at 15% body fat and I would guess that I am down to 13 or 14% with 10lbs of weight gain. I am continuing to eat roughly 500calories surplus.

Mood: I have had a little lack of sleep at work and feel a bit moody. I think this is more due to my workload, but I will keep an eye on it over the next few weeks.

Workouts: Workouts are going great. Squat, bench and deadlift are all steadily increasing and I am hitting a new predicted 1RM most weeks. Endurance has remained high. I have had a bit of knee/ankle discomfort, but I have had these issues on/off for a few years. I suspect it could be brought on a bit by my increased weight and heavy training. Lifting 6 days a week.

Dosing: I am still doing 500mg/week of Sustanon, pinning MWF. I started 400iu of HCG on week 5 and have continued pinning 2xweek (250iu Mon, 250iu Fri). Arimidex has remained consistent at 0.25mg MWF. Finasteride has been 1mg/day since the start of the cycle to combat possible hair loss. No sides noticeable yet.

I will be getting blood work done next week (during or at the end of week 6) to see what my values are like. Any of you have suggested sources for the bloodwork? I will do my research and see what other people have used. Thanks!
