First cycle, Test-E

23, 5'8", 165, lifting 4.5 years. Currently ~8% bf.

I am planning to do my first cycle which will be

W 1-10 Test Enth 500mg/week
W 1-12 Adex 0.25mg EOD (reduce to 0.125mg EOD in last week)

PCT
W 13 Nolva 20mg 2x/d
W 14-16 Nolva 20mg/d

I track all my macronutrients and every rep I do in the gym.

Goal: gain strength and size while staying lean.
My question is: Should I eat in a surplus during this cycle if I want to maintain my leanness? My idea goal would be to avoid putting on fat during this cycle and only put on muscle. I've been in a calorie deficit for about 6 months now as I've been cutting. Not sure if I should remain in a deficit during the cycle or eat at maintenance or surplus.
 
if you want to grow you have to eat.... Worry about shedding the fat later. Not liking your pct. Are you getting bloodwork done?

Eat! Eat! Eat! If you want gains, food is most important. And as @mike5064 stated. Worry about shedding the fat later. But in all honesty with your size now, if you eat ALOT but CLEAN you shouldn't have any issues with getting fat on cycle. Of course you'll have the common bloating which will go away after you come off anyways. Best of luck!

What do you mean by recomp....if your 8% bf...which i doubt...you wouldnt need to recomp only grow.
Do u have a pic u can post to see where u really are bf%.

Look at it like building a room on your house....u have the house(body)...u have the tools(gym)....u have the best carpenters in the world to help u( aas)
But you dont have any lumber(food).
Your room doesnt get built and neither will your body.
 
Cycle looks good but as others said you need to eat. Post your diet on a normal day. You want to take advantage of the gear and grow from it. If you want to stay lean just keep eating healthy. If your gear is good your appetite will be increased.

Eat more eggs, oatmeal, pasta, steak, chicken, rice, beans, potatoes, and fish

I understand but eating at maintenance calories or a very small surplus will allow for a recomp, correct? Recomp as in maintain fat levels while adding muscle.

Yes you are right. But take advantage of being on gear and eat more. Worry about shedding any extra fat after cycle.

Btw guys he really is 8-10 %...this kid is doing something really really right.

If you run the proposed cycle you are going to come up in bf by at least a few points in order to grow.
If you eat really clean...and i mean watch simple carbs and fats you can add some serious size but you will still pic up 2-3 % but it will look even higher till the cycle clears and u lose the retained fluids. DONT FREAK OUT.
figure out your tdee....then i would eat at least 300 good cals above that...then add 1 good quality no fat mass builder drink above that. Try to get at least 250 grams of protein daily.
If you hit the gym hard and follow this advice regarding nutrition the end result in 15 weeks will blow you away.
With the above plan you will get about 1000 cals above tdee....but with where your at physically you will be looking awesome.
Like i told u in the pm....you should be very proud of what you have accomplished so far. Not many have what it takes to get where u are already.

I haven't seen your pics but will take throwbacks word. He basically gave you all the advice you need, it's all going to be about the diet and training. The gear is just a little boost to break plateaus. All the water weight comes off on cycle. Think of the cycle as the under construction phase and post pct the finished project stage. If you do everything right you will be happy.

And you should be fine with your proposed pct. I prefer clomid as a stand alone serm over nolva though. The clomid and nolva combo is a Bill Roberts recommendation.
