First day of cycle! Few Questions!

Just started my cycle of deca, winny and prop! Looking to put on atleast 15 to 20 pounds of muscle. It is easy for me to gain muscle(even without gear) and I have never taken a "bulker" before. I took winny a couple times by itself when I was less informed. I am 6'2" and weigh about 220. My question is: I run atleast five times a week, sometimes four miles at a time, I was wondering if I could make those gains still doing so or should I cut back to 2-3 times a week and bump back up to 5 when I start winny. I have a heavy lifting schedule lifting on body part a week. Also, since I am recovering faster on gear is it ok to lift body parts twice a week? One last question: should i also increase my calorie cumsuption? I know this sounds like alot of stuff to answer but your input would be valuable. Thanx.

These are the vital questions you should already be able to answer yourself before starting a cycle of ANY sort. But here goes...

Are you running for any reason in particular? You're obviously trying to bulk, and unless you're running that much for competitions sake, don't do it, simple.

If you are going to run on a bulking cycle, best time to be doing it is right after a refeed. Have breakfast/lunch/dinner (depending on when you run) and do your cardio straight after. It won't be so draining on your bodies nutrients. When you get home, stuff your face again.

IMO, i'd stick to each body part once a week and I'm sure many of us on this board would agree. You don't want to be breaking down any muscle which is still trying to repair itself, sort of makes your last workout pointless. But in saying that, many people do see better gains when training each body part twice a week, it's highly debatable and depends on each individuals body type and recovery time. I still believe that once is enough.

As for your calorie intake, what is your current calorie intake?

Overall calorie intake?

Protein, carbs, fats?

On a final note, try to eliminate as much cardio as possible. You have plenty of time to do that once you decide to cut.

All the best :)

i came to college on a track scholarship weighing in at 189 now i have got up to 220 with running. i just cant stop a habit. i guess will run moderately and eat more quality carbs. I eat more protein than my RDA suggests but for carbs and fats i usually follow the food pyramid. I am not a competive body bulider but i have to look good for my job.

I think cutting back on the running to 2-3 times a week would be good. Normally when trying to bulk, I eliminate all cardio, but per your thread you put on muscle easily, so maybe the running won't interfere w/ your weight gain too much. It's hard to say whether or not you should increase your calorie intake w/out knowing your diet, but if your simply maintaining your weight w/ your current diet, then yes, you will need to add more calories to gain weight. Your protein consumtion will need to be high to allow the gear to work to its full effect by increasing protein synthesis. As far as how many times a week you should hit each body part, people differ. I like to hit each bodypart HARD once a week and allow it to recuperate and grow. I found when I trained bodyparts twice a week, I didn't grow as much, but that's just me.

Fact is bro, you can run all you want but it will make gaining harder. The stress of recovery from lifting and from intense cardio is tough even with the right gear. I suggest you restrict your running some and train legs only once a week since you are running so much. I'd work legs on monday before you wear them down. Your diet will have to consist of huge amounts of carbs and protein but don't fear the fat. Heavy cardio with lifting will require large amounts of calories. I suggest peanut butter, pasta, milk and other calorie dense foods. Pup
