i read somewhere that its bad to eat fresh fish more that twice a week because the pollution in the lakes will give you elevated mercury levels if you eat too much fish. im not really too worried about this since i don't eat a whole lot of fresh fish, but i do eat at least 1 can of tuna everyday. does anyone know if this applies to tuna? sure hope not

I really don't remember the source of this or how legitimate the claims were but I believe tuna was the main food source studied. Not positive on this but I thought the article i read on it was about tuna. Anyone have any more recent info?

And Milk is also bad news. I had about 3 bowls last year only because i was in the mood for cereal. I posted this info awhile back. Raw organic eggs are a great source of quality protein....Humans are screwing up all food sources, but when your bulking,it's not easy...Almost impossible to worry about healthy food.

i eat a can a day, no more then that cuz i get sick of it fast. I think if there was a high risk they would take it off the shelves but I dont know enough about it. I would continue to eat it, but thats just me.

Well,Mercury is poison and it is in about 98% of the fish you will find in stores. Processed milk and other processed foods are also bad,but they leave them on the shelves.I would say it's a high risk,in the way, that's it's slowly killing you,but not in the way, that it's going to kill you overnight. Most of the food on the shelves is bad, whataya gonna do. I eat fish maybe once a month,if that. If you don't eat fish,it's good to take some fish oil from the health food store, but make sure it doesn't have Mercury in IT,either :-) I'm sure the Mercury isn't killing us any faster than all the flouride and other toxins in the food air and water.

Our bodies can live with few vitamins and high toxins, which is why it's hard to tell just how healthy we really are. Imagine we ate all toxin free foods filled with vitamins and minerals. Because we cook some foods process some foods spray chemicals on other foods, our bodies and brains will never function even close to 100% of their abilities. Who here eats 5-6 servings of vegetables/day? I know i don't... My wife likes to eat at Outback steakhouse,so i take her there every now and then. Well,we took her mother and my mother one day, just as a treat. they all like their steaks very welldone, like most people i know. Well, when mine came out bloodier than a highschool girl on prom night, they thought it was disgusting. My mother inlaw said " I can't believe you eat your steak like that when your always worried about health" lol I think it's funny how people accually think that steak is healthier when cooked. That's exactly why red meat is linked to cancer. It ruins the flavor when it's cooked, too. Why would someone want to eat a piece of leather, when you can eat a nice chewy juicy tastly steak? Man,i can really go for a steak.

It would seem to be ok to some extent. If i was planning on having a kid in the near future I would not eat it.
