You guys have probably heard of foam rolling before but may not have ever tried it. It's basically a self guided full body massage to help release tension in your muscles. Tension can build up from heavy work or stress and bb'ing has plenty of both. I have some links for more info on rolling if anyone wants to get into it. I try to foam roll twice a week and find that just that little bit helps a ton.
Benefits: Increase blood circulation in muscles, remove knots, recover faster from workouts, reduce soreness (I find it seriously helps with pip)
Here's a good site on how to make your own roller for cheap: All That Glitters...: Make Your Own: Foam Roller I did this and it works great. The pvc core at the center is awesome because it can get those stubborn knots out really well.
Then here are two links on how to start rolling/ what body parts to hit:
http://camilleherron.com/2012/02/15/how-to-foamlacrosse-ball-roll-the-critical-body-parts/ / Trigger Point Release For Beginners | The Art of Manliness It's really just moving back and forth on a piece of pvc but feels so freaking good when youre done! Doing lats is tricky but awesome. Quads are probably the most rewarding. If you have a lot of knots in your back buy a lacrosse ball and lean against it on a wall. Move your torso around and pause on any spot where you can feel a knot for ~20 seconds. You'll feel like a million bucks after, guaranteed.
