how is it that my #of posts has gone from 302 yesterday to 294 todaY? that's a lot of posts gents; that would be 8, for the arithmetically-challenged. so, if you delete my posts that reduces my count? i'd appreciate a response if it's not too much trouble. thank you in advance.

Yes, when a thread gets deleted..if a user has multiple posts in that thread, he loses those posts...

Your post count is indicative of the amount of posts that other users can search and verify...If a post has been deleted, then it is no longer searchable...ergo no longer verifiable..so it no longer registers in your post count.
