In the past I've heard that free radicals are a bad thing for trying to build muscle because they can destroy muscle cells.

However, after reading this article: Vitamin C negates effects of endurance training I don't know what to think anymore. Also in the first article it talks about antioxidants helping to reduce muscle damage caused by free radicals, but this doesn't sound appealing because the whole point of killing it in the gym is to damage the muscle stimulating growth.
So what's your take? I take NAC in my post workout shake, and also supplement 2g of ascorbic acid(vitamin c) and 400iu of vitamin e. Should I stop taking NAC and reduce my intake of the antioxidant vitamins?
