2011: Started at 330lbs, buddy got engaged and his wedding would be in Cuba in March 2012. Started the “ideal protein” diet in August 2012, got down to 225 (weak) lbs. very calorie restricted diet, no exercise, looked kinda frail for 225.

2013: had to undergo double corneal transplant surgeries to correct Keratoconus in both eyes. Off work (driving freight trains) for 4 1/2 years. Gained all the weight back due to food addiction, lack of exercise (didn’t want to blow a stitch out of my cornea) and bad habits.
2018: Back to work but diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. Medicated with Metformin and Ozempic. Initial BG was 12.2 when I was checked at the hospital for an infection.
2019: Started heading back to the gym in September, doing heavy lifts. By this time I weighed 365+ lbs. Purchased a farm halfway across the country but couldn’t move due to seniority.

2020: March 8, 2020 was the last time I went to Goodlife. Covid Lockdowns started.

2023: started moving some of my stuff across country to my new farm. Buddy came out from Ontario to ride along and introduced me to the carnivore diet. I paid $15 for a Burger King Meal and he paid $8 for 4 burger patties. My mind was blown. Why was I paying double for junk?
Late 2023: Started Carnivore diet. Ozempic didn’t do anything until this point. Learned diet and nutrition. Went from 365 to 320 by March 2024.
2024: Continued with steady weight loss on carnivore. Came back from the Dominican Republic vacation and developed tonsillitis so bad that I couldn’t eat for 4 days. 3 weeks and 4 types of antibiotics finally cured it after I doubled my medication. Lost 20 lbs in 2 weeks. Learned about fasting. A couple ups and downs but maintained 278 lbs.
2025: returned from another trip to the DR in March at 279 lbs. decided to lock in and track everything. Was off metformin completely, swapped from Ozempic to Tirzepatide. Discovered Retatrutide and grey market. Went all in on grey market in June. Went to my first EDM festival in Toronto, already bought my ticket for 2026. Contacted UPGUYS in Canada for TRT, started HCG in August. Went on my first Test only cycle at 44 years old in October. Found grey vendors for gear and started my first blast in November.
December 2025: DEXA scan showed 10.4% bodyfat, Withings body+ scale showed 11.4% BF. Down to 221lbs.

January 2026: maintaining the cut, planning skin removal surgery and lipo and chest surgery in some foreign country with cheap hotels and sandy beaches. I still see the fat guy in the mirror. 44 years old and I’m back wearing jeans I couldn’t fit into when I was 16…. And I set a new deadlift PR of 505 lbs.
Nobody is going to save you. Nobody is going to drag you to the gym or make you push your last rep or swat the snack out of your hand at midnight when you cave into a craving. You want to change? You have to save yourself. The moment you realize this, your old self will die and your new self will be alive. Create your own confidence and find your motivation, be consistent and just keep showing up, even when you just don’t have the energy. Always keep pushing and testing your limits because the only limits you have are the ones you have set for yourself.
