Gas Chromatography

Hi guys, I'm laboratory analyst but I have little experience in the company, its possible see the purity of powder (anavar and turinabol) in gas chromatography?

Thanks

Does your lab have an IR spec machine? Those are great at testing what the compound actually is. Combine that with a melting point range test to test the purity and you're good to go.

According to wikipedia GC can test for purity, but to vaporize hormones I think would decompose them.

Unfortunately not have IR spec machine :/

The chromatograph we have is a 5890 hp, is it possible to make the purity test to make sure the quality? So, I do the fusion test to "confirm"... How many (mg) is required for melting point?

The melting point range test is as little as possible. As long as you're able to see the powder at the bottom of the capillary you should be fine. You can't do this with a kitchen oven and a meat or laser thermometer.

Nice!

Tanuki, you know let me know something about liebermann reagent? I did in my work.

5 ml acetic anhydride
0.1 ml sulfuric acid PA

How many drops I put in the sample (var and t-bol) to see the color?

You'd have to have a control sample. Something that is actually tbol and var to compare against your unknown sample.
