i think it's all going down in SF cause there's a huge gay community there so what better way for the mayor to get re-elected then let gays marry.

Exactly. It's liberal politics at it finest (or worst, depending upon your views) and is one of the reasons why I GENERALLY vote Republican. I wonder if there's anyway this can be overruled by the Guvnah or Supreme Court in some way.

I'm totally straight and i don't see why so many people are against gay marriage. What the hell is the big deal? I think it's just like when interracial marriages were illegal...i mean eventually it's gonna happen. Besides i think the banning of gay marriage is unconstitutional because it clearly states that the government and church are separate. So, just because people think it's immoral and wrong makes no difference because they have no real evidence why they shouldn't. That's just my opinion.

I'm with you L-B-M. I don't understand why anybody gives a flying fig. I mean WHO CARES. Why can't people get married? Why do people feel so threatened by this? You have to distinguish between CIVIL marriage and religious marriage-this is a civil thing we're talking about. it was only 40 years ago that Black/White marriage was against the law in certain states.

whats next ? they're going to want marrage benefits and so on and so on and so on.....thats why......11

Ps dont compare this to interracial marrage at least thats a man and women.

It makes no sense to me that all these people on this board would complain that the government is infringing upon our rights because we cannot legally inject some test in our asses, and then turn around and say that gays are so out of line for wanting their relationships to be properly recognised. Pretty hypocritical and pretty pathetic, don't you think? As someone else mentioned, we all know its going to happen down the road anyways, and these marriages will not stand up for any period of time. But as a hetero man, I applaud the balls these men and women have for standing up for what they believe in the face of an overbearing government and hateful society. And quite honestly, I am amazed that most people on a board that represents another often misunderstood subculture don't feel the same.

I dont have any problem with anyones lifestyle. what people do in the privacy of there homes is there business. If to people want to live together I dont care, I hope they're happy. But this is deeper than that this is about benefits and money.........11

Exactly, 11. Look at the financial effects of what this is going to do to states, companies and individual taxes.

I hope all of you faggot lovers have gay sons. Well come to think of it that probably wouldn't bother you fruits either. Also, to me it is child abuse letting two faggots adopt children. What a fucking crock of shit and your arguments are uh well it's going to happen anyways so who cares. That is f'n pathetic.

I'd like to know what the cost of all this is already, plus the cost of overturning all this bs. With all the problems in this country and were dealing with this crap.........11
