Under the law, athletes testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs or are found guilty of possession of such substances can face prison terms of up to 3 years. Additionally, suppliers of the substances can face up to 10 years in jail themselves.

This makes Germany look 2-faced, by de-facto decriminalization of marijuana but cracking down on steroid use.
Comparing apples to oranges really no?
"Illicit" steroid use by athletes vs medicinal marijuana use for sick patients.
But I understand where you're coming from, this, but decriminalization is different than what is going on here. If we were talking about Uruguay following in these footsteps I would wholeheartedly agree!
The continual underlying point in my eyes is that prohibition is a failed system always and forever.

Agreed that prohibition is broken, much like how it was back in the 20s during Prohibition where alcohol was entirely banned. People still had access to alcohol in speakeasys and underground clubs. So this case is really no different.
