Going meatless.....

I'm going to drop meat from my diet and replace it calorie for calorie with nuts and nut butters. I seriously think I am getting too much estrogen from all the chicken breasts I've been eating over the last several years. Beef products also contain additives I don't want to consume anymore. I do get 200 grams of high quality whey protein most days. I've been reading some great things about walnuts and almonds as far as overall health benefits and this is the route I'm gonna try. I would appreciate all comments pro and con. Thanks.

You need to make those complete proteins. I would consume more Turkey and Fish, you can also look into Organic chicken, and even open-range beef...

I used to be a vegetarian, I'm glad I'm over it now.

Yes organic is a great way to go but if you eat a combo of rice and beans that is a complete source of protein together....obviously peanut butter was made to be a meat substitute...Make sure your getting iron from another source as well since you wont be eating meat. Will you still be consuming eggs and dairy products or are you going full vegan?

actually been looking into grass/range fed beef and chicken. It's not as expensive as I thought and free of hormones and antibiotics. I think I just need to get away from supermarket chemicalized meat products.

I eat free range, organic (whatever you want to call it) beef and chickend and I actually only pay
$0.04 a pound more for it than from the super market. I know people that have tried going veggie and still get good gains, but never works out to well.
