Goodbye to vial crimpers?

I saw on GPZ and have found elseware vial sleeve stoppers that you insert into the top of the vial, then roll the sleeve down over the outside of the vial completely sealing it. I have not seen reviews from users and was hoping someone could give me some real world feedback.
I will be purchasing some the beginning of next year unless I hear any serious reasons not to. They are VERY CHEAP. Website is down right now because hurricanes/storms etc but I believe it was $15 for 50 of them. They mention reusable, but I'm pretty sure we would all agree against reusing a rubber porous material, especially one so cheap and easily available. Hell the S&H costs more then 50 to 100 of them alone.
Enough rambling on, if anyone has any experience using these style stoppers any experience you could share would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have some links/pics of them?
I've seen some glued/press-on stoppers with no Aluminum crimps but they are big-pharma stuff, so IDK if they need custom vials to work.

Wayyyyy cheaper elsware, only place would let me copy and paste link. Put small end in vial and roll large sleeve end down and your done. Air tight, and I'm pretty sure it was 50 of em for $15 on gpz. I could be wrong on price, but I know it was still very cheap, especially since I will no longer have to buy vials everytime, just sleeve tops

The ones on gpz say they fit all their vials, only place I will trust. Buy a lot at once though they do 2-3 day shipping for like 25-30$ so make it worth it buy in bulk. Got an amazon picture link in thread so you can see what the sleeves look like. Small end goes in vial, large end rolls over for air tight seal

While they may be airtight, only rubber elasticity holds them in place.

Looks like they are just intended for careful lab use.
IMO these rubber stoppers may easily come off. Still ok for personal use, not so if intended to be mailed or something.
Or for quick , temporary use.

Thanks xmad, trying to learn if it was a logical/$ saving alternative. I like to do everything I can while cutting out cost and middlemen. When I lived in cali I grew my own smoke, for a time a distilled my own spirits, and brewed my own beer, and generally enjoy self sufficiency. I appreciate the informed answer you gave me on the sleeve stoppers. Was just hoping to save on buying pre sealed vials, I refuse to buy a crimper. I have no need for ethyl oleate as mct flows so easy and I'm not obsessed with high concentration gear.again thank you for your advice on the sleeves, that is why I was asking here to get some experienced advice on their use as it would be personal only, NEVER selling.

Why refuse to buy a crimper? I understand saving money where you can although if you want to save for the long term buy a crimper caps stoppers and vials as long as you are comfortable i sterilizing them yourself. Spend $100 for 100 sterile vials or spend $100 and sterilize 100 vials yourself then just buy vials stoppers and caps.

Simpler to me, one less expensive thing to have break, super cheap for the sleeves, I can get them in many different formulations if required for solution with guiacol or eo (although I only use mct oil ,might use guiacol again for test base as I have plenty left over which made it painless ). Easier negotiating with the boss (wife) the less I spend on my goodies, and it allows me to afford more raws. Just personal preference honsetly, and I like trying things differently no matter what it is. In my mind if I have all stopper sleeves sterile and dry in a sterilized mason jar the day before, then have all vials soaked sterile and heat dried the day of it seems really quick cheap and easy. To me. I could be completely wrong as I have only ever used pre sealed from gpz, but am intrigued now that they started carrying the sleeves and say they will fit all their vials. I posted a long ass write up I copied from another site a minute ago but it says it is waiting admin approval. It explains a great deal about it. I make my own colloidal silver which is a natural antibiotic (the head of the cdc actually came out and said awhile back it is the only thing that can still kill drug resistant mrsa) I also have amoxicillen on hand, and have no problem going to dr should issues arise. But if it is sterile, airtight, and filtered through .20 filter I believe there should be no issue. If bacteria is not present, and unable to gain entry there should be no issues. I wear a mask, do not use fans so air does not circulate, wear sterile gloves, wipe down all counter spaces with bleach distilled water solution before and after, all raws are kept vacuum sealed inside brown glass jars to reduce any light........I'm Hella tired and rambling on now. Thanks for concerns, advice, and sharing of knowledge

Listen ask yourself one question . is it worth the risk of getting a infection from having dirty gear because you simple didn't want to buy crimpers -stoppers/Amps- sleeves.
Serious bro at the end of the day you have to remember this ain't weed ( I smoke it too but only the finest weed out there) this is shot u put in a syringe and stick a fucking needle in your body and injecting a substance into your body . it's fucking serious shit . there is absolutely no room for error !!!cause the affects can be very very serious and a bad infection could lead to dead ( obviously if goes untreated) so if your OK with those risk then go get it ! I just know that I personally wouldn't let my heard of cattle even get close ( and you best believe they are on finaplex I get them bulked up and then sent to the meatlocker )

So go on eBay , buy yourself a good crimper tool ( I bought one that will crimp any type of top just have to change the head ) I think GPZ has them for $129 , and if your really wanting a better deal go on eBay . I found a pair that crimps flip top for $49 or $59 with free shipping ( ships from Cali not China!!)

but I personally don't have time ( time is money to me ) so I don't mind spending the money and remember you get what you pay for .

And listen there has been some very good cooks who have basically told you the same thing I just said . so either you take there advice or not .
But if you choose not to . don't go any further cause your beating a dead horse here .
None of us like those for what we do . simply because these vets know what works and what doesn't because they have wasted $1000's of dollars on shit like this and found it isn't safe or clean . And to your benefit . Now its up to you rather or not you take it .

But I can assure you that your not gonna save any money if you go that route .
Buy a good used Autoclave , then you can buy bulk empty unsterile vials and amps and with the autoclave you now have the availability to sterilize anything ( hell I even use it for my Lil baby's binkies and bottles , the wife loves it )

But if you have been self maintained you should know that cutting corners cost you at the end of the day it's gonna cost you more .

Sleevestoppers are plugstopperswith fold-over skirts Used on serum vials and other crimp-finish containers that do not require aluminum seals or overcaps Can be used as an injection site for multiple dose entry Manufactured from natural red rubber, a general-purpose rubber

There is a MUCH LONGER copy pasted post farther up awaiting admin approval, this is just a part of it.

It is air tight multiple use for needle pentetration same as any stopper, only difference is the way it is held on. I would not travel with it (which I would not recommend traveling with controlled substances of ANY kind) now they come in the same assortment of materials as regular stoppers depending if it needs to hold up to eo or guaiacol, is just as air tight, (when you place a stopper on before crimping it it is the same thing, you just roll down sleeve instead up crimping). I don't understand why people are so opposed to accepting there are often more then one way to do something. Hell the pros didn't use to have serms and ai's, now we have peptides (why do we need peptides we already have gh and other compounds) I have read MANY THREADS with people swearing up and down that you cannot get oils to pass through 27 gauge pins who have no idea about mct oil and/or backloading let alone eo which I will not use do to the price, not knowing if I'm alergic, I use reasonable doses and do not need to make super high mg gear.

Dont get me wrong I am not trying to put you down for trying something new. In had no idea that these were even out there. If you get them let us know how they work out. Honestly I will never try them as if I start brewing again I will get another autoclave and a wheaton crimpenstein just because I trust them and like @Mechanics said time is money.

Definitely will share any experience with them. Will be at least until april/may 2018 before I need to order anything, but assuming all goes well I will go this route in the future as it is only personal use. Either way would be nice to know options. And yes for about the same price I can already get crimper off ebay with tops for $50 so it is not just trying to be cheap. I figure for people who clean/cap/ and crimp their own it would be faster and easier. And in my thinking placing a stopper on is the same as placing a stopper on, both are air tight. I will only use the sleeves and vials from gpz as they are guaranteed to be perfect fit. I figure once stopper is inserted it doesn't make a difference if you roll down the sleeve or crimp as the stopper material that comes into contact with liquid is already inside the vial, and no longer exposed to air or other contaminate sources. Yes having pre sealed sterile is ideal, but if I'm cleaning, sterilizing my own vials, and the seals are air tight the results should be the same. I never use eo, mct is fine for me, but will ask gpz the materials the sleeves are made of ahead of time as I will make test base and even though guiacol is toxic and corrosive I found it a must for the last base I made. It was not micronized, and without guiacol I could barely walk. Added guiacol and I was fine with 2-3 a day although I mostly just used pwo

Just wanted to say, not taking you wrong, you came across very polite, and thank you for any and all input. I have seen some of the threads and shit talking on here lurking as I tend to research but not interact and I have been pretty suprised by not having everyone and their mother call me a dumbass and any other colorful phrases that came to their minds. I'm still giving it time though ;) . But no offense taken at all, and thank you for your time and advice as I have experience, but definitely nowhere near as much as MANY members here which is why I joined.
