Got banned from my gym over someone else’s actions. Not even mad — just done with the clowns.

Ooh man, you hit a point I’ve been thinking about for over a year now. But to my understanding: success doesn’t come from how much you flex at the gym or how respectfully you act just to look good, it goes way deeper than that.

What really matters is getting better at the things that actually move the main shit. That means sharpening your technical skills (understanding how to build things, solving real problems, and creating solid systems.) Just as important is developing your entrepreneurial sense: knowing how to craft the right product, how to present it in a way that grabs attention, and how to make it stick.

That other stuff (showing respect, carrying yourself with confidence, improving your presence) it definitely matters too. It helps build your communication skills and makes connecting with people smoother, which is a huge asset long-term.

I’m not ignoring that side of things (I know I’ll have to work on it eventually.) It’s just not the main priority right now. First, I’m focused on building the core skills that drive real impact.
Dammit - I was waiting for a confrontational response. Way to ruin it for me! Lol

Nice work on the transformation (and being confident enough to show it off).

Get shit with your brother worked out. The gym was probably right (whether it was a stealing services issue OR an attitude issue). The important thing is you didn't lose much in the process. Accept the lessons the universe throws at you and try not to make too many excuses (sure, sometimes shit happens through no fault of your own....but there is still lessons to be learned in that).

It's just one gym. What's the big deal. Your own fault 110%. You let someone use your pass? Come on bro. Take some accountability. You should feel silly you even made this thread. If someone owes you money it's your brother.

You’re right, it’s best to take some accountability and move on.
I need to learn to stop feeding the drama and clear out that pile of emotions that keeps building up.

It’s not a big deal, I’ve already signed a new contract with another gym nearby.
Honestly, it’s encouraging to see so many people embracing that tough, focused mentality here. Im really looking forward to embrace that too

I already took care of that. That mf recently became way too sneaky

in other countries I am a guest so tell your brother to keep that in mind
you are already lucky to be there and bring nothing to the table and then you don't follow rules, taking more when you think you can.

I hope he learns with experience, life will teach him eventually.
Right now, all I can really do is limit the damage he causes lol

If someone else shared their membership information with you, and you tried to use it...... what would you expect the gym to do?

And why should that be any different in this situation?

I would ask your brother to pay you what is owed for the gym membership being cancelled. You can't use someone else's gym membership. Whether you were aware doesn't really matter bc the outcome was the same.

So this happened recently and it still blows my mind how weak some gym staff are when they get a little power.

My brother used my account once to check into my gym. Staff noticed, and instead of just giving a warning or even asking for clarification, they start stacking up all this nonsense and pinning the blame on me. I came in, calmly explained the whole situation — no drama, no attitude. Just laid it out straight.

But instead of hearing me out, the dude on the desk starts acting like he’s some FBI agent or something. Trying to “stay in control,” putting on this superior tone, and couldn’t even speak proper English while trying to scold me — like bro, relax. It was cringey. I stayed respectful, but it was clear from the jump: they weren’t interested in facts, just flexing authority.

Then they say, “We’ll let you know via email.” No follow-up, no resolution, nothing. Today I go to train — they didn’t let me in.

Honestly? I’m not even mad anymore. I’ve been grinding for years, changed my entire physique and stayed consistent through way harder things than this. A gym is supposed to be a place for growth, not some ego war with the gym staff.

Like… I’m in the middle of a serious cut, momentum locked, discipline sharp — and now I’ve got to deal with this clown energy from people who clearly don’t train or understand what consistency even means?

I’m not chasing them. I’ve transformed my body (dropping a before/after here), stayed committed, and I don’t need some staff member on a power trip trying to block my path. I just want to train in peace, and if they can’t offer that — I’ll go where t
hey do.
That’s fucked up, infuriating. It’s not surprising but you should at least spread the word and channel your anger enough to make it known on their Yelp page or something. If that douchebag gets a taste for it he’ll keep doing this without any check or balance. Sorry that happened. You got to be mad at your brother too, though.

I talked to my brother and he admitted his mistake. I have decided to move on and focus on building a good relationship with the staff at my new gym.

I’ll keep grinding and staying focused. I know I can do better, and I will.

If your old gym was Planet Fitness no big loss...that Lunk Alarm is a joke :)
It’s a new brand in Belgium called Jims. Honestly, it’s embarrassing how they handle situations like this, the local staff can make false accusations and just ban you. But I’ve learned from my mistake, and now I’m moving forward.

That’s it, man. It’s really not a big deal, I’ll just make sure to avoid situations like this in the future.

Ngl one of the main reasons I love Meso so much is that it is filled with people who are very frank about shutting that nonsense down and keeping the skin thick enough to survive daily life :) Those who can self regulate seem to do pretty well.
