hey bros, i stumbled upon this technique a couple of months ago by accident but it has really helped to bring up my forearms like nothing else i've ever tried. i wanted to give some time to see if it worked before i shared with you guys and it has definitely worked so here it is.

do deadlifts with an overhand thumbless grip. go as heavy as possible and your forearms will get a hellacious pump from the wrist all the way to the elbow. i'll do a couple of sets this way before doing my max deads with a thumb grip. the difference in feel on your forearms b/w the 2 grips is like night and day. try and let us know what you think. all the best.

Huh... makes sense. Wonder why that never crossed my mind before.

Thanks for the idea, I'll take anything I can get to grow these things.

I do that every once in a while BUT my forearms are growing with the rest of me because I don't use straps on any pulling excersize.

that in itself ought to do the trick. hanging from chin bar for a minute or two will work the forearms. working out with those 'over-sized' thick barbells and dumbbells is yet another option. :D

**Wonders what secret exercise made Chips right forearm alot bigger than his left**

I also find that using a rope and twisting a weight or jug filled with water up works well too and gets a good burn.I also like getting a a heavy weight and holding it for a minute or so that works well.

meat yanks work great for the forearms as well. just don't forget to yank both overhand AND underhand so as to get even development of the forearm flexors and extensors. :D

That is one of the few exercises I do that I dont chalk my hands before grabbing the bar.
Jayce

I'm going to get one of those small bars with the weight attached to it by a rope, for my froearms. I used to mess around with that in the gym and my forearms were starting to get big. the one were you just roll the bar until the weight comes up and rope raps around the bar

I work forearms whenever I do bis or tris-- on a barbell curl, I just invert my grip to the top and curl it after the normal way-- same with tricep pushdowns. It evens everything out.

Don't forget on the meat pulls to add a second hand to gain an extra stroke!

if you need forearm mass you need to train them like calfs
....all the time
at least that is what Larry Scott says in all his books and it has worked for me

If your going heavy enough with deads, curls, pullups and other exercises where forearms are involved, you shouldn't need extra work, but thick bars help,if needed

try some farmer walks bros. Pick up some big ass dumbells, and walk until you drop them(make sure you guide them down so you dont crush your fuckin foot) Great on forearms, calves, and cardio

its really funny you say that but i was talkin to a guy who won the Louisiana state title a couple of years ago and he said that the greatest forearm exercise was jackin off. when i laughed he said he was serious lol

i guess the key is becoming a switch hitter :D

I did this today Chip.......good tip, thanks.

Something else to do....everyday when I load an unload I grab two plates at a time, and then hold them away from my torso as I walk to/from the rack while tilting them forward and backward.

I also have been using these finger grip strap things from ironmind while trying to do pull ups. Money well spent.
