Gym atmosphere - SUCKS

Hey Bros,

A gym I frequented for nearly 4 years closed abruptly last month, and was the only gym within walking distance that I cared about - spacious, not aloud of loud mouths, decent equipment, three squat racks, muliple pull down stations, lots of incline / decline / flat benches - it was worth the money. But the idiots decided to screw us all and sell out to a major chain.

Anyway, given the fact that I only had two weeks to make a decision to move to another gym, I chose one that I had avoided 4 years ago and realized NOW why I had initially avoided it - When using a certain triceps pulldown machine, if I so much as move my ass back a half inch I'd be greeted with a flat bench olympic bar probing. When doing Incline Barbell Bench Presses there is exactly 6 inches between the right side of the bar to the power cage (at least they have a cage, so they score points)... and morons stlil try to walk through WHILE YOU'RE LIFTING ...

The dumbells go up to 120 - that's fine, but try finding a matching pair of 70's / 90's or 100's. Oh wait, I think I see it there, being sat on by fat-goon #69 who is awaiting his turn to do half squats with his buddy on the only squat rack in the gym.

And when doing DIPS - god forbid you swing too far back or forward (depending on how you're facing) - you'll probably knock over the flat bench that is about 6 inches away from it.

The smell in the air? I can tolerate it. The poor lighting? I like it. The 'hardcore' atmosphere (translated - we don't give a shit about that air conditioner stain on the wall there, and it's staying there forever motherfucka) is welcomed. But can't you guys space the damned equipment just a few more inches OUT OF MY RANGE OF MOTION??

Anyone else have a gym like this? This is why I'm considering starting to work out at home, just to make sure I don't damage myself.

HL
