Gyms around me

Can someone please recommend a gym in the Aurora/Denver area ? There's 24-Hour Fitness's everywhere but I don't like the chain gyms. I'm looking for a smaller, independent, mom and popish kind of place.

I trained at a 24hr fitness for a couple years. It was small and didn't have much equipment. I suggest the yellow pages, and I don't like signing contracts.
